What is the proper way to control marine medic? How should they be hotkeyed- do you just move medics, tag them on the marines, or what? Do the hotkey groups change when you are using more (36) of them?

This has just recently been debated in the strategy forum. I suggest you just skim the first page, there's a thread called "terran grouping".
I wouldn´t call him stupid, but let´s just say he´s unlucky when thinking...

you shouldn't get many, attack when they're few. if however late game u get many, hotkey 2 groups and have the rest follow the hotkeyed ones with right click on a medic and micro them in battle without hotkeys.

learn to use the search function in this forum. this has been discussed at least 10 times and I'm not exaggerating

Just don't mix Marines or Bats with Medics.
I often mix Medics with Tanks and SCVs into a group.
Someday, you’re going to fuck up so magnificently, so ambitiously, so overwhelmingly that the sky will light up and the moons will spin and the gods themselves will shit comets with glee. And I just hope I’m still around to see it.

I do 1-X Marines, X+1 Medics...I never mix them bec that takes away stim hotkey.
They see me trollin, Im hatin, they hopin that they gon catch me writin dirty...

That's basic knowledge. You NEVER do that.

Anyhoo, you can try 1/2 - Marines and Firebats and 3 - Medics.

Later in the game when you have a crapload of units, make it something along the lines of

1/2/3/4 - Marines
5/6 - Medics
7 - Tanks
8 - Science Vessels
9 - Whatever you need
0 - Comsat

This is usually what I end up doing on pretty much all TvZs where M&M is required.

It's extremely important late game to be able to handle a number of hotkeys of mnm units and dropships spread all around the map. That said, it should be obvious that it is important to attack earlier when you have fewer units, because as you battle a new army will be coming up, so if you wait too long you will end up with like 6 groups of mnm and you will need all of them because the fact that you waited also means the Zerg has a bigger army, and it's harder for Terran to properly micro large armies than for Zerg imo (I'm not counting defilers for the time being, but let's be real -- sci vessel micro to counter swarm is not any easier than the Zerg's defiler micro).
Even though this Proleague bullshit has been completely bogus, I really, really, really do not see how Khan can lose this. I swear I will kill myself if they do. - nesix before KHAN lost to eNature

Medics always on 1, that way you never have to re-hotkey them.
My psychiatrist says I have deep-seated Ragneuroses :(

If you stim your marines every time you move them, then you never really have to hotkey your medics. I've seen skilled gamers do this but honestly I don't....since I don't play t much I just put the medics in the groups with the marines for simplicity, and then whenever I want to stimp I cntrl click on a marine portrait in the control panel.

From what I see whenever there's a huge fight between T and Z with lots of tanks what usually happens is that all zerg units melt away in seconds. that's unless there's a huge number of ultras and defilers cast swarms everywhere. Even if T does nothing but siege and stim he's still going to kick ass. Obviously at better skill levels T does have to micro some, but I can't comprehend how big fight micro is in any way more difficult for terran. As the amount of units increases, ground fights tend to favor terran, I see that as a protoss player especially.
I know its not THREE-DEE!!

That's true - I guess if you MUST do something of that nature, just make it at LEAST 3 or 4. Makes hitting T a lot easier than 5 and 6. (WHY 5 and 6???)
