ZP v ZZ - new strat

One strategy the ToT team is using lately for midgame ZP v ZZ, which I had never seen before, and seems to be very hard to counter:

the Z goes to muta, and the P goes to templar tech. Usually (at least) one of the zegs will go muta. Then they attack with a group of mutas (in general less than the opponent have), one or two archons, a couple of HTs and one DA. Then it\'s just one good maelstrom on the opponents\' mutas and it\'s GG. The great thing about DAs is that other units\' AI usually ignore them, so they tend to walk in the battlefield unwounded.

Any thoughts on that strategy (how to counter, weaknesses ...) ?

If this is hunter I would go 7zd with 3hat and pressure them. If one zerg goes muta..he dies or his teammate dies..+_+;;

if this is lt....have no idea-_-;;

sure good strat, but i think you (as the pz team) definately gotta already have the upper hand at that point (i.e p must have expo and none of the z's or maybe 1 must not). otherwise i'd rather just have another archon or two instead of spending all that gas and time getting da + mael.

Original hunters is where all team play games(toss wars) are played in west and asia. And if you notice, some minerals are farther and some are closer. It makes the game interesting. The worst place in hunters is 12. You wil always have one less zealot than your opponent at 11.

on original hunters 1 is the worst because minerals are so far away , but 12 is also a bad position , gamei is better

Most pz teams I have faced as zz go sair/muta and we both go hydra/lurk, not sure that temp/muta would work any better.

I think most wgt teams would go dual muta and get raped by sair/muta or temp/muta.
