planning on doing some bbs/8 rax build because he thought fenix would do a 12 nexus build because toss either go 10/15 or 12 nexus on the map but since his scv got scouted so early he had to change his plan.

As a mac user who has no way of watching these VODs smoothly, I'll post a little tutorial on how to grab them without using a 3rd party tool such as Orbit..etc which are not available on macs. However the method detailed works for windows / linux too.

First go to the SCForallPage where the video is hosted ( so they get their page hit ): for example

http://www.scforall.com/sctv/sc_tv01.asp?mNum=s03&movNum=276

In Firefox/Safari, right click -> View Page Source

in the source, do a search for ( cmd+F) ".flv"

you'll see something like this:

so.addVariable('file','http://vodh1.afreeca.com/PL_xxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.flv' ) ;

where the xxxxx portion is the path and filename of the VOD which I have obscured since direct linking is not allowed here.

now simply paste the "http:///vodh1.xxxxx...xx.flv" portion into your browser window and you can download it to watch later using VLC/WMP..etc

the content of scforall is very good, but the problem is, that most of the people here are not able to really enjoy it. i know that i'm the 500th here complaining about this, but the page is so ridiculously slow that i simply can't watch anything hosted there.
i appreciate your work and all the efforts you do there to provide a good starcraft coverage. you guys rule, hands down. but the way it is brought (or not) to the community just sucks. that is really sad because the site and all you guys working behind it have so much potential. just get that handeled and you'll kick ass big time.

The only flaw Artosis made was telling everyone before the Youtube links were up!
If he'd waited a week no-one would be complaining, yet here is he giving you a choice to view it earlier and people are going nuts.

You see, complaining about a service (even if it's for free) is feedback and feedback is always positive to help improve it. If no one complained because "they had manners" the service providers wouldn't know about the problems that many users suffer from and so nothing would be done to fix them
We are not insulting them, just pointing out some flaws that should be fixed for the benefit of all.

but you see, some people do that, they open and let it load, the full video loads, and you start watching, then just randomly at 1 point it stops playing, even though its fully loaded, so patience wont help much.
And about it being free, a lot of good that does me if I CANT WATCH IT.
A lot of these comments that might seem rude are coming from the fact that people really love these videos and wanna watch them but cant, I know i get pissed off when i see new vids up at sc4all and i know they have great content but i cant watch them.

I just want the youtube uploads to come fast, i love you guys <3 but your server is killing me.

I don't have any insight to the relationship between Artosis and his website hosts, but being that he is living in Korea and producing content like this I have to assume some of the cost of that is covered by this company. As such he is expected to give them traffic to their site in order to justify keeping him there.

So trying to watch the games on their site helps Artosis in the end.

Also, installing orbit and using that not only helps you with this site, but it helps you download all flv files like youtube, etc. So it's a nice program
