No this is not a peak, but it's still pretty important to note. It's a peak thread, not an "important Jaedong fan stuff" thread. But as someone else noted, Jaedong is at his peak in ZvP right now, so he accidentally posted something useful I guess. And after that crushing by Bisu... how many points would he lose? Note that Bisu would probably make him lose much less points than you'd expect, having a high vZ ELO himself. Crushing? Eh, not really. Bisu came very close to losing that. I meant in the morale sense, he really could have pulled off clawing his way back on that one... Like you're seeing the light of day after getting caved in then suddenly rocks fall on your place. Yes, that s2 match will dig a bigger hole in his regular ELO and vZ

I'm such a Jaedong fan, but I'm such a huge Bisu fan too. Bisu-Jaedong Bo5 was what got me into BW in the first place. I'm glad to see Bisu's still got it.

Bisu is now the 4th highest vZ by ELO after Flash, Light, and JD.

Hmm, so sKyHigh has overtaken Flash for the #1 vT ELO ranking, and set his own personal peak at 2257. Rofl his vZ is 1982 and vP is 2009... sKyHigh if you get good at the other two matchups you'll be godlike.

Yay Skyhigh, now even stats wise you are the current #1 TvTer!
|
I thought this thread was about Elo peaks. Eventhought Skyhigh has the current highest vT Elo ranking, he is still far from Flash's peak. 2257 vs 2316 ! YellOw has a higher vT peak as well !

Jaedong sets a new record for vP with 2322 after last night. Monster owns both peak vZ and peak vP. Now you've just got to work past imba vT!

So happy for SkyHigh, I have been a huge fan of his since he first hit the scene. Being his fan is really a double edged sword as you just wish he could step his vZ up and vP... I still have faith! He seems to have confidence issues, hopefully this will help him with that. Jaedong still proving hes the best Z sorry Effort ;0

while he probably wont make get the overall #1 from flash, he might be the #1 zerg soon though
currently at 2265 (personal best), yellows record is only 7 points away
I wonder how long yellow being #1 zvt lasted, like 8 years?

people are too obsessed with statz xO
hope for good games. flash can break his peak again, doesn't mean it'll be the best game ever

Unfortunately, that doesn't help him beat anyone...

yellow having the best zvt elo of all time shows how dumb elo is for bw

Why's that?

Im not following ELO that closely but im certain Flash broke 2400+ earlier this year... but in the OP it says 2336.

it makes a lot of sense actually. Jaedong's win rate vT is only slightly lower than Yellow's was, and like Yellow, he tends to beat lesser terrans most of the time and only lose to the best of them. the slight inflation in elo over time can account for JD being only so slightly behind despite having a 3% worse win rate.

Wait what? Are you an idiot or something? Yellow maintained 67% wins for over two years to achieve that peak.
And out of the 82 ZvT games he played during that time period, 20 were against Boxer.
To give you an idea, Jaedong is 74-41 (64%) in the past 24 months with only 16 games played against Flash. A lower win percentage and a much lower percentage of games played against S-class rivals.
ELO isn't the best measure of SC skill, and it often is terribly inaccurate when comparing cross-generational achievement (for instance, Savior at his peak was maintaining about 70% wins in ZvT for about 2 years, but played far fewer games during that time period, and furthermore, many changes happen to metagame affecting things like balance and how easy it is to maintain dominance in a match-up -- for example ZvZ has always been somewhat of a coinflip, but overtime it's been steadily becoming less of a coinflip... 60% wins in that MU used to be jaw-dropping amazing, but now it's actually common among top ZvZ players -- not to mention that many top SC players burst forth as rookies and can take down S-class giants even while though their ELO ranks indicate they shouldn't be able to)... But where you come off on this notion that Yellow is not worthy of the highest level of honors for his ZvT is absolutely beyond me. I can only think that you must have started watching SC long after Yellow's peak had come to an end.

Hi, were you watching starcraft when yellow was in his prime? The guy was a constant disappointment for all zerg fans.
Oh, yeah, he strung some wins together against terrans to get a meaninglessly high elo. Look what happened right after his peak vt elo. He lost yet another bo5 vs. a terran. Look at all the bo5s he played against terrans in the two major leagues. Do you know what his record is in those bo5s?
Its 0-8
