When updating the iccup ah plugin through chaos it tries to downgrade from 1.6 to 1.5. Just a minor inconvenience as you can still obtain the newest plugin by other means but wanted to let you know, anyway.

Sidenote:
Appears to make no difference whether or not the Chaoslauncher.exe is located within the same folder as Starcraft.exe
iCCup launcher works just fine with no errors, just Chaos Launcher.

I've got a problem with getting chaos launcher;
All links on sites that I can find for version 1.16.1 (usually this address http://winner.cspsx.de/Starcraft/Tool/Chaoslauncher.zip) give "Unable to connect".
The starcraft AI competition setup page http://eis.ucsc.edu/StarCraftBWAPI gave this link http://eis.ucsc.edu/sites/default/files/chaoslauncher.zip but said there was a security issue - something wrong with the identity of the site.
Also, the zip I downloaded a few days ago says it has a security issue and after I got it working on one computer the computer started saying at bootup that one of the drives is possibly corrupted (though it MAY be because it's getting older).
Anyone get anything similar?
The Download link seems to work again for the competition page, but I don't know if the hackers are fooling it or whether it is safe.

I sent my admin a message that the webspace is down. Hope he'll bring it up again. Else I'll upload it to somewhere else.
No idea what security issue you're talking about. The download from that other site works for me.

Norton had said there was a keylogger thing it was trying to do and deleted the exe.
Setup BWAPI and chaoslauncher again, rebuilt the project etc. It can't seem to load the ai module in Starcraft though. Pretty sure i followed all the steps.

For BWAPI problems you need to ask them. And usually the log files contain some valuable information about what went wrong.

Have tried running both CL and SC as admin and in XP compatibility mode.
Have also disabled antivirus to launch, in case something was getting flagged, but no love.

Hey guys...
It seems it has something to do with the colours being messed up in win 7
so here's the workaround:
-open up your Windows' resolution change window
-then run chaos launcher / w-mode
-once BW has started, it seems safe to close resolution window

The deal is, that your ISP sucks.
The file is not infected, the way such hacks are written makes some bad AVs trigger.

im getting this problem that says "incorrect patch to starcraft, change in the right column of the setting-tab" what do i do here?

This error means you didn't install Starcraft correctly, so Chaoslauncher can't find SC. You need to enter the path to starcraft in the install path field.
