If the apm was some unreachably large amount, it would most likely mean that the replay was being played at a faster speed than the game itself were played.

I don't like doing it with drones/probes or what not simply because it has no real purpose or value in-game. I can max a 3 base Protoss army of zealots, dragoons, high templar, archons and obs in 11 minutes with upgrades, and I think that is worth more than having 200 drones at 9 minutes.
Just a comment on the whole contest I guess <<

Noone said it has purpose in real-game situations. It's a whole different type of challenge.

To clarify, apm is calculated based on the length the game would be if it were played on fastest speed. A 10 minute game played at normal speed (half the speed of fastest, I think) will be counted as 5 minutes long by BWChart, etc, resulting in double the apm.

I did a chunk of time better with 5 nexus! But boy was I ever putting hundreds of apm to use...

What do you think is the best strategy for terran? I tried just massing barracks and making tons of scvs and marines, which is ok since you don't need to spend time getting gas, but I would imagine larger units could use up the supply faster. Idk, I suck at this though.
EDIT: New challenge, be the fastest to mine every mineral on bgh.

its probably a variation of getting 2 expansions and massing from 9-10 factories, in whatever order you think is best
