- Latency settings. It should be set by host before game starts (like game speed) and not changeable during the game. The latency of your connection doesn't change during a game. If you REALLY want to play with someone with high latency, you can remake. Otherwise, I don't like having to set it back to low every 3 seconds if I play a game on BGH. I've actually had a 'dead' player spam it to extra high to stop my muta harassment on his ally, and people change it to extra-high so my 1 vulture can't stop infinite zealots by itself. Haha, I actually learned a strategy when I got owned by a terrible player who had an ace in the hole. I had much higher APM than him, but he nullified my advantage by turning latency to extra high just as he dropped my main base. Suddenly, my awesome rines could barely kill a lurker, let alone move out of the way, so they all died as I stared in disbelief at my nonresponsive units. I didn't even know what to think, until I realized I could do this to other people  - Lag at start because of music. It should load the music before the game starts so it doesn't ruin (or sometimes help) your split. Is that what causes beginning lag?! For years, I thought it was just the game syncing up. It was always strange to me that these people lagged at the start, then didn't lag ever again. Noobs always use that initial lag during lagger witch-hunts, which seems completely misguided. - The 2 month old games on the game list. A script to delete games older than 1 hour old, or to prevent them from being returned would be trivial to write. There's no reason why 50% of the first call returns games that don't exist anymore. This, and BLACK JOIN LIST, is the most annoying thing I've ever seen on a multiplayer game. I log on, wait 2 minutes for BLJ to go away, see 2-3 games I want to get into quick, and double click - wait, wait, wait... wait - OOPS, latency too high! It was made at 11:17 am, fifteen days ago! I click the next - wait, wait, wait...- OOPS! Finally, I click the 'real' game, but it's already started because I wasted 5 minutes on BLJ and clicking two nonexistent games. ARGH! | ||

The lack of a /r feature. Many times i've been in heated game and can't respond to people (because typoing their names) and they get all pissed off at me or keep spamming messages at me. Stupid noobs who believe in hypes or fads like f5 will speed up DL or close/open slots refreshes the game list or Extra High latency is the best. Seriously go away. I've been in so many latency settings battles, I have only lost 1 or 2. f10 o n l | ||
