The whole way bnet is setup. The annoying sound when u click join or cancle. the annoying disconnect and have to wait so long. the annoying thing about not being able to scroll up your chat text (like you can do in a shell program) the annoying thing about using alt or something to copy a text in chatroom. the annoying korean font in every public game the annoying thing about ladder the annoying thing about not being able to change hotkeys without resulting to an outsider program the annoying thing that they disc you if you watch a replay on ur own for too long. the annoying thing about harder to find someone you want to play without going to iccup.
most of them are related to bnet and its interface. they really should have a button that lets you disable bnet interface sounds. it gets annoying if you try to find a game to join.
and yes... most of them are fixed in war3 bnet but we can't get one in original starcraft and have to wait for starcraft 2?
My suggestion, have a striped - down interface that can run as a desktop application with better chatting - socialising support without booting up the game.
load the game faster! if starcraft2 takes as much time to load as war3 i'm going to puke. thats the one thing i hate about war3 apart from the general game retardness. (this is wishful thinking consider starcraft2 is gonna be a graphical monster)
better community support. Why ban 3rd party servers? why not support them, give them a sustainable fund and let the community run themselves if blizzard can not be bothered? its not like you are charging people to use bnet.
simplefy the process of joining game. simpfy watching replays on bnet. why make people do 3 or 4 actions before they can get in a game? why not make it 2 actions for someone to create a game and 1 action for a person to join?

path finding on sin peaks
bnet: sounds adverts every game is in korean you have to download about 9999 versions of each map (especially lost temple), because someone wanted to change the font colour. so hard to find a good matchup because 'noob' games range from people with 0-10 to 300-400 90% of games are UMS no-one uses the One-on-One game type for 1v1s so thats useless

Complete disregard for Chinese players. Last year i was in China, it is not possible to buy a legit copy of starcraft -_- (actually you can but the cdkey you have to register online and the company that handles it went bankrupt.) even with a cd key you can not play bnet efficiently -_-. i know its hard because China has shitfuck internet to the outside world but why not set up a Chinese gateway? is the cost of doing so too much compare to having people getting pirated copies and play on lan emulators?

Scouting a dt rush and preparing for it : Having 6-9 mines spread out in zig-zags and a turret at choke with like 2 tanks 2 vult following the FD build. Then you still lose because they send zeal/goon to clear every single mine somehow and dt's follow and chop the turret in less than a second. T__T

I don't see gameplay change THAT much playing stoned (unless you're heavily baked). Yes i'm serious.

Getting owned when i was too lazy. - tvt: carefully killing all mines, order my troops back, switch to base, and hear something explode (yep my units) - tvz: when zerglings break trough my marines on the ramp and surround me. - tvz/t: my shity scv defense - tvp getting totaly fucked by carriers.
The funny thing is i allways smile when someone ownes my marines with lurker stop. I'm just "yeah got me there". But when i get terrain abused by carriers for 10 minutes i have to stop playing afterwards.

- Not being able to LEAVE during drop screen. Why should I have to wait 45 seconds for someone who lags out in the first second of the game?
- The random one sound that becomes absurdly LOUD if you alt-tab away then back to a game. It's funniest when it's the siege tank blast, but annoying nonetheless. It's usually the send/receive message beeps, since if I alt tab it's usually at the beginning of an obs game to kill a process.
- Color inversion from other applications trying to gain focus, or simply from them running (You can't have Rosetta Stone open and play SC).
- Not being able to lock teams except in FFA. 2v2v2v2 would be a fun game type if there wasn't a team of three 50% of the time, and two guys from separate teams re-allying the other 50%.
- Hacks. It's one thing to have 10 year old base-code that doesn't allow modern hack prevention. But to ban every 3rd party anti-hack like penguin...makes me wonder whose side they're on.
- Blank game list. I get it an average of 2-3 times for every game I play. I'm not sure if it's just inadequate servers not returning because of an overload of calls, or if it's specifically programmed in flood control. Either way, it'd be trivial to fix.
- Not being able to ignore mini-map pings. Too many obs games are ruined because some BM obs ping-spams.
- Not having a squelch list, like the friends list. I know I did well in the one random game we played together a month ago, but that doesn't mean I want to hear you talk to your 14 year old friends about who's a "fag," or have to manually squelch you every time you log on.
- Not being able to ban by IP address or CD-key. All someone has to do is use their name spoofer or relog on a different account to join the game you just banned them from.
- Not being able to watch old replays. I think you can do it with third party programs, but it never worked for me with bwchart. It should be implemented in the game itself.
- The 256 replay limit per folder for single-player. Could you really not spare another byte or two so I don't have to log on to watch replays?
- Replay slot limit. I don't know if there are current work-arounds, but it'd be nice to watch a replay of a 1v1 RoV with 2 friends.
- Corrupt replays. I don't remember both players just pumping workers to the rally point for the last 15 minutes of the game then leaving with 8000 mins in the bank and still no attacking units, but according to the replay that's what happened.
I'm sure I'll remember more, but I better post this before all of mine have already been said.

I love Koreans, but there's way too many of them on US East/West and like 80% of them boot me from their games.
Everyone that doesn't play competitively plays Hunters, BGH, LT, and maybe Fastest Possible map (hence the need to find a partner).

- Latency settings. It should be set by host before game starts (like game speed) and not changeable during the game. The latency of your connection doesn't change during a game. If you REALLY want to play with someone with high latency, you can remake. Otherwise, I don't like having to set it back to low every 3 seconds if I play a game on BGH. I've actually had a 'dead' player spam it to extra high to stop my muta harassment on his ally, and people change it to extra-high so my 1 vulture can't stop infinite zealots by itself.
- Lag at start because of music. It should load the music before the game starts so it doesn't ruin (or sometimes help) your split.
- The 2 month old games on the game list. A script to delete games older than 1 hour old, or to prevent them from being returned would be trivial to write. There's no reason why 50% of the first call returns games that don't exist anymore.
- Sorting convention for maps and folders. Every retard names his map "[ dumb map name" so it gets to the top of your download folder. [Up one level] should ALWAYS be the top item, and NOTHING ELSE should be above directories.
I also hate how every idiot thinks closing/opening slots or remaking somehow helps your chances of filling the game. There is no refresh feature in StarCraft (and there shouldn't be), although when someone joins, it appears to affect how quickly your game is returned when new people make a call on the game list (so rejoining appears to help). Of course these are the same idiots that think a fraction of a second of slow-down or drop screen means extra-high latency is needed, even though 99% of lag nowadays is caused by bandwidth, not latency.

I hate how every time i'm in a game i'm noob and forget one critical thing (research consume, lair at first 100 gas, etc. stupid stuff), and proceed to get raped because of late tech/spamming "cccw" "wtf'ynoconsumeswarmzT_T".
- Not having a squelch list, like the friends list. I know I did well in the one random game we played together a month ago, but that doesn't mean I want to hear you talk to your 14 year old friends about who's a "fag," or have to manually squelch you every time you log on.
i have to agree with this one as well

- Players who complain whether win or lose.
- The people that think Starcraft is a game of black/white strategical extremes. When something not normal/standard works vs them it is simply a "miss" or "luck"
- How much more important macro is than anything else now.
- Lack of a large tournament scene(ie, pc cafes and lan events throwing 1-2 day cash money tournaments). WCG just isnt worth the time.
