Hello Guys! The ASL Revenge Battle is back!
Hero vs Light Light failed to respond to the high expectations of viewers and was defeated helplessly by Hero. It cannot end like this. Will Light ever get revenge against Hero?
Soma vs JYJ Their series continues the story from the ASL 11 Revenge Battle. In ASL12, the duo put on some really crazy performances on polypoid, giving viewers the best game ever. Now the challenger is JYJ again. Can JYJ get revenge against Soma?
Soulkey vs Rush Rush is the best TvZ machine and has reached the ASL 12 finals Although he was only runner-up, his progress to the final was very smooth. But there is only one catch. He lost helplessly in the Ro16 Winners match against Soulkey. It didn't live up to its reputation as the best TvZ machine. Rush took on a challenge against Soulkey. Will Rush get his revenge against Soulkey and can he prove himself to be the ultimate Zerg killer?
Mini vs Royal Even considering it's their first Ro8, the Royal was completely defeated by the Mini. It was a match that was completely defeated in a psychological fight and the disadvantage of not experiencing multiple premises was clearly revealed. Royal wants to deny a helpless 0-3 loss to Mini. Can Royal get revenge on the champion?
This series is cast by Scan. (Nyoken won't join the revenge battle for the BSL cast)

This series is set to 11:00 cet, which is the easiest time for you to watch live. Considering that all the existing SCTV contents were 03:00 cet, I think 11:00 cet would be a much better time to watch.
Watching live is another great way to contribute to content on SCTV.
Thank you.

Hello friends, I am writing this post because I am curious about your opinions. I've been streaming content from StarCastTV to 3am CET so far. (at least 3am CET cast until streaming international battle content) The reason is that it was a bad time for European viewers, but a good time for North American viewers. But the live stream had really, really, really few viewers. Average of 10 viewers.
So I did some research on the viewers why the live stream has so few viewers, and they replied "I live in Europe and 3am is not a good time to watch"
So this time I started streaming on 10-11 CET It's a bad time to watch live for North American viewers, but I think it's a good time for European viewers to watch live. But once again, an average of 10 viewers are watching it live. lol the viewership didn't increase.
In my opinion, maybe... content other than ASL and ASTL is not of interest to English viewers. In the case of ASL International Battle, I thought that might be the case, but ASL Revenge Battle was very interesting content, but the number of live viewers was too small.
Scan and Nyoken take the time to cast their content in English exclusively for English viewers. The way you guys support them is by watching the streaming live. If this continues, we have no choice but to seriously think about whether to continue providing an English cast service.
I'm curious about your opinions. What do you think it would take to get a lot of English viewers watching a live stream? Of course, I think time is also important. Maybe I can think of a way to delete the VOD after the live stream and not upload it to YouTube so that the content can only be viewed on the live stream.
Of course, if I upload the VOD to YouTube, more viewers will watch the VOD. But for content to continue to be produced, live streaming viewers must be large.
If you have any ideas for how to increase live stream viewership, let me know what you think in the comments.
Thank you

A few things:
1. The foreigner vs Korean semi-pro battles are not interesting because they are one-sided. Unless you thrown in the Top3-4 foreigners 2. Most BW viewers are probably not able to devote more than prime-time slots (like BSL is for CET) and maybe some weekend ASL rounds for live viewing of games. 3. VOD format is the way to go, because of the target audience

In the case of the international battle, Bonyth , Dewalt , and Dandy participated, and the opponents were also Korean pro gamers. Isn't Bonyth Dewalt Dandy a Top4 Foreign Gamer? I understand the second your comment VOD views don't mean much. The only metric used to create content is the number of live stream viewers.

it's hard to say. Maybe try it some race wars? Since if at the same time is present will Bonyth, Dewalt, Dandy do you attract more people?(3 players fans) or same format what you did Progamer vs Foreigner(was there a viewer?) but now not Progamer rather Semi-pro ?

I've noticed a few things, from a viewing perspective - mostly targeted at foreigner-land :
- people don't care much about non-top foreigners (top 12-16), and sometimes for good reason, the play is too sloppy and looks too much like a random ladder game - continental wars/race wars are interesting/fun as long as the format is also cool (done within a weekend, 2-day type thing) - good quality casting is necessary - this means people that know the game and also have decent audio (not just random 10 hour community casts with whomever)
I really suggest some of you that want to continue providing this content to consider building a brand/channel dedicated to this and open up a long-standing patreon that focuses on quality of content.
From other areas of the internet I can tell you that doing these events and then having them uploaded as VODs on youtube is your best bet for SC. The target audience is mostly 30+ yr olds that don't care about twitter/checking discords every day and having twitch streams open all the time.
For such a small community it's also quite weird that there are like 3 team leagues, and multiple tier 1v1 tournaments when the player base is so small.
It seems like some people just want to put up their own stuff just because they can. A more concentrated effort would be better and would increase hype and competition.
<<All of these are intended as constructive criticism.

I'd also mention that all of these things would be more popular and have more reach if Blizzard just put up a community tab in the BNET launcher where people can see notable ongoing events (with some links etc)
However something even as low-effort as that is a momentous task for such a low-life useless company.

Honestly for me, VODs are just so much more convenient. I can pause the video and come back if I suddenly have something to do, and I can watch at my own pace. Unless there's super active audience participation in a stream, I'll generally prefer to just wait until VODs are out.
