FlaSh had a very clean image and worked hard to maintain image fairly consistently, so seeing him take part heavily was a very negative thing to say the least. A lot of stuff floating online are inflammatory and pitchforks, but in end of day, FlaSh is supported by fans and work in industry supported by fans, and to mislead/betray that trust when he maintained his good image (including that ex-gf slander incident while back) for so long came as a bigger shock Doesn't help that other streamers like Sea has been stirring controversy by saying stuff like "It's my money" (probably to gain more viewers for stirring shit up) making it look whole lot worse. | ||

he hasnt profited from the coin and automatically assuming that he was going to exit at the right time, profit and simultaneously rip off any investors from his audience simply because he was involved is ridiculous. the fact is theres only 1 person that is 100% a dickhead and thats suit. besides him the whole thing is a witchhunt with the public just hoping they get to bury someone else as more news comes to light | ||

Obviously, this is a criminal act. because it's a scam. In stocks, these actions are punishable. We just need to watch the situation. Problems with Flash have the potential to lead to really big problems. | ||

On June 27 2021 14:00 ggsimida wrote: merely raving about a coin doesn't constitute pump and dump. and elon musk is not exactly a patron saint of ethics either. and i thought elon fanboyism died a while ago. that sounds a lot like what flash is doing in his afreeca post in the OP dont cha think? who exactly is flash shifting responsibility on to? his mum? he says he and his mum decided to invest into suit's proposal because they trusted who suit was as a man. he also claims that hes always had disclaimers in his streams whenever he spoke about crypto about how his viewers should do their own due diligence. its the viewers who think that any losses that a viewer might have been at the end of are automatically the fault of the streamer. apparently its so warped to think that the purchaser should be responsible for their own purchases. what a world we live in edit: some more allegations being made now. apparently the ceo of a subsidiary of afreeca is also an initial investor, along with another rich guy associated with suit. suit is the frontman of the operation but in reality hes being backed by people who obviously have lots of money, which is how suit was able to fund his donations to streamers despite having nothing. it also explains afreeca's silence on the matter as well as the questionable stance of many streamers who didnt want to reveal more details about the coin, including britney. britney admitted to also being an investor despite no one calling him out on it (another case of a streamer investing without promoting), but refused to divulge more details. clearly he knew that if he divulged more then he would expose an alleged link between the coin and afreecatv itself, and thats counterproductive to him seeing as he is contracted to afreecatv as a partner. the above are just further allegations so well need to wait and see what the truth is but it seems like this story is getting spicier. in my opinion i think we still have to wait and see whether this coin was actually devised with the sole intention of a pump and dump or whether it was a legitimate business venture that wanted to cut some corners to gain traction (misrepresentation of its partnerships). the coin apparently does have actual partners that are willing to accept the coin as currency already, so on the surface the business potential was there as a digital currency that was ready to be widely adopted by businesses. it could just be that suit's incredibly shit reputation from his association with kote and his deceitful nature has just led viewers to jump the gun and assume this whole operation was a shifty pump and dump plan, when in reality suit was just a shit marketing manager employed by people who genuinely wanted to pursue the idea as a business venture. we'll see | ||

If Flash told people "go and buy this coin, it's a good coin and you'll be able to earn money", that would be a problem. But what he mentioned was something like "this coin is good, but please do your own homework and don't buy anything you can't afford losing" which is not financial advice. Theft is theft and scams are scams no matter if you're in the east or west, so this doesn't apply. The only thing unfortunate is that this is linked to a dodgy person, and presumably Flash didn't know about this at the start. And as someone mentioned the coin didn't even launch, so I'm pretty sure this is just Korean netizens making a mountain out of a molehill as usual. | ||
