1. Map pool
7 maps are so less. Map pool should have 10 maps and 5 vetoes every season. Arto usually has more than 1 map that he hates but he doesn't enough veto to do.
10 maps: 3 standard maps (Circuit Breaker, Match Point and Neo Sylphid) for the guys have no time to train. 3 old maps for the guys love to old days (OSL, MSL, WCG, SSL, Blizzcon, Proleague) 4 new maps (ASL and New Worlds Map Contest).
2. Connection
I must to play with low quality Internet recently. I wish I have to wait matching my games longer with the good quality Internet.
3. Surrender
Sometimes, both players don't like play their games. Maybe mirror matchup, bad internet, their mom call... We need a command surrender, if both players agree, they have to be minused 1 mmr. Lost 1 mmr than playing a bad game.
4. +/- mmr point
I saw Shinee who won a game with +0 mmr point. I play so much games and I know if I lose more than 3 games in a row. I get minus so much mmr points (each games) compare to 1 game or 2 games. Ladder system should increase little mmr for high level players when they win to lower players. So top 100 players will like to play game with real nickname instead of use smurf nickname. Ladder system should reduce minus mmr points when a player lose so much games in a row. If you used to lose so much game in a row, you will know what I mean.
5. mute chat in game
I like to play StarCraft, but I don't like to talk with my opponent. Sometimes, I met barcode players or similar that I can't type ignore their nicknames. It's terrible for me who have to play with bad strategy and trash talk in the same time.

it's cool to have threads like this. but only if you know that the game can/will be developed more in the future. so far it looks like blizzard has just deserted SC:R so it feels like there's no sense in figuring out things like these.. too bad

More maps/veto = longer time
5 vetos for 10maps : 2 players may have no overlap

MMR points are based on ELO system afaik... and it's proven to be best rating system for 1v1 ranking (chess). Altering it would'nt be any good i think. I'm also sure that the surrender option could be abused somehow at high levels.

top 1 = special icon
top 10 = special rank
top 50 = special rank
top 50 to 0.5% S+ rank
0.5% to 1% S rank.
just that because blizzard wont waste time on starcraft

minimum of 5 mmr per win, +0 is just a complete waste of time.
being able to cancel the actual game if the latency is too bad.
some option to avoid vs X race.
top 200 is S+ or Olympic.
top 32 - season finals, winners gets special icon + legend status in the starcraft universe.
function to search ladder by nation and non korean ladder.

The maps are a bunch of hyper modern ones that old players like me don't even bother trying to play again because they don't want to relearn a bunch of modern maps that try to be good but aren't.

I would just like them not to add anymore Chinese notes telling you to stop playing after 2 hours anymore, and breaking the ladder matching system after every update.
