Do you have a source for TR12 == #L2? According to this LatencyChanger, #L2 should be NetworkModeDelay 2 UserModeDelay 2,3,4 so Low 2*2+1 * 42 = 210ms High 2*3+1 * 42 = 294ms ExtraHigh 2*4+1 * 42 = 378ms Looking at the blizzard post that has a table with latencies for turn rates here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/starcraft/t/turn-rates-matchmaking-and-you/519 14 214 286 357 12 250 333 417 It seems 14 is a closer match to #L2 than 12. This seems to match player experiences as well who say that 12 seems slightly slower than #L2. BTW that post does also say that #L1, #L2, and #L3 map to turn rates 24, 12 and 8 but I believe this to be a mistake or a simplification. Battle net used to be #L5, not #L3. From the table, it looks to me more like this: TR24Low = #L1 TR24High = Halfway between #L1 and #L2 TR24ExtraHigh = #L2 = #LL = TR14Low (LAN latency) TR16Low = Faster than old LAN TR16High = TR12Low = Slower than old LAN TR14High < #L3 < TR16ExtraHigh TR12High < TR14ExtraHigh < #L4 TR12ExtraHigh < #L5 < TR8High (Approximately old BNET) TR8Low = Faster than old BNET | ||
