What are your thoughts on this mouse? I keep reading the clicks and cord are too stiff.

I use it every day. I got mine with non-braided rubber cable (got lucky somehow). They probably changed their cables at some point. You can ask about cable from the seller directly. G007 uses Huano switches for buttons that are stiffer than most popular OMRON switches (Logitech g102, LMO, Logitech G1). Zowie Mico also had Huano switches and they were fine for most people. The braided cable is total garbage, but you have an option to replace it with almost any other cable, just google for what's compatible. Very good mouse overall.

Just got mine. The buttons are fairly hard. Did you replace yours? Feel like my finger is going to fall off after 2 games lol.

I want to replace the switches but not sure if that will even make a difference.

I was fine with those switches, but plenty of people replace them with Omrons and it does make a difference.

I got this extra g203 mouse sitting around, do you think those switches would be compatible with g007 shell?

Not really ruining it, it's a very old mouse that ive had since 2008. I have a ton of them but that is my oldest so figured why not. Chances i ever use it are slim to non just because I have newer backups.

Yes, switches are all the same size as far as I know.

They are indeed same size and cost about 1$ for 2 switches

I have thought about getting a new mouse as well, and this was one of my choices: is it worth paying ~60$+shipping for it on Amazon?

I replaced the switches with omrons, the clicks are still hard but comfortable if you like that kinda thing. It's more the shell than the switches. Mine didn't come with a braided cable, still a bit stiff for this kinda mouse.

Sensor and shape are nice though.

Unless you have a fetish for tiny mice, I doubt it's worth to pay 60 bucks for it though (got mine as a present). Like the g203 is slightly bigger but probably superior in sensor and clicks and costs like 20 bucks.

If you have normal sized hands then there is absolutely no reason to get the mouse. I got asian hands(im asian) which make its very hard to control normal sized mice, it even hurts my hands when playing with regular mice whereas using the g007 there is never exhaustion just that finger pain from smashing the hard buttons from the g007.

Hoping the new switches helps it otherwise i might have to go back to my old mouse. If you play game like MOBA's or MMORPG'S, basically anything other than RTS, then i would recommend the mouse(only if you have small hands). But this mouse specifically straight out of the box strictly for RTS doesn't make sense to me.

Thankfully mine came with the rubber cord so I'm not really dealing with that and in fact it hasn't really bothered me at all besides the 1st day where the cord is still in that curled up form it memorizes from being in the box.

Bought hyperglides for it, that has made the clicking a slight bit easier somehow.

In my opinion the clicks are ridiculously hard. People with larger hands might not have as much problems with the toughness of the clicks mostly because their fingers are long enough to extend onto the top outer range of the button where pushing is drastically easier. My fingers don't reach out that far unless I want to change my hand grip to a palm grip which would defeat the purpose of getting the mouse in the first place. I'm finger grip so palming the g007 doesn't feel right to me and even if i did palm it, my fingers would barely be able to reach that range and when I do palm it to reach that "g spot" now my middle finger is out of position to a location of the right button where clicking it is even tougher than originally. At that point i might as well stick to my gpro which im forced to palm because of the size.

Must keep in mind that it might not be as bad for people with less than 150 APM for obvious reasons. I sit at about 250-310 so you can see how unrealistic this mouse can be for something like RTS.

I love the size of the mouse but only wish the clicks were at least a tiny bit easier. One of my finger joints is literally in pain the entire day from playing with this mouse last night. I'll update this post on tuesday when I replace the switches( bought omrons ). Really pray that the pressure needed to push the button is reduced least cut down by 1/4 otherwise it would have all been a waste of money. 50$ for mouse + delivery 15$ for soldering iron 8$ for switches 13$ for glides.

Do the glides stick back or did you have to buy a special glue to stick them back on?

Are the buttons noticeably easier to push with the omrons?

Yeah the shape and size were kind of what attracted me to the mouse in the first place but I'll probably be looking to invest in the g203 then.

Thanks

If you like the shape and size go with the fkmini v3. That mouse doesn't have clicking problems from what i understand and most pro players use it. The only thing ive heard that is negative about that mouse is the censor being faulty sometimes. Also, if im correct, i think the max DPI on it is 400.

That might be my next purchase if this one doesn't work out.

Fkmini v3 is outdated now and it had some build quality issues. There's FKMINI2 - the newer upgraded version. Can check it out on Taobao.

As for NKEY G-007 glides/mouse feet I would recommend Hyperglides for Logitech MX518 (you place 4 of them in each corner). Could be more expensive though.

So i ended up trying to solder the switches but no matter how much i tried couldnt get the switches out. What's odd is that there was no obvious solder inside of it. I tried the solder pump 500 times and nothing would work.

Do you have any suggestions?
