Mouse Felt Weird / Slow--found workaround

RomeD 16 Posts October 03 2017 01:46 GMT #1 So recently either after a patch, going into windowed mode, or cycling thru mouse settings, I have found their seems to be a serious response time or at the very least "feel" issue with the mouse in Remastered. Previously I had "Use Mouse Scaling" Enabled, and ingame "Mouse Sensitivity" Enabled turned to about 85%. Now, suddenly, this setting has become unplayable for me. It changed. I think this is a bug. The workaround that I found was going into my Windows 7 Mouse settings: Turning off "Enhance pointer precision". With the fast windows pointer speed selected, and "Hardware Cursor" enabled on SCR, it feels playable again. "Enhance pointer precision" is mouse acceleration which you don't want when you play an RTS imo, I think this in combination with the "Use Mouse Scaling" and windowed mode created some type of conflict which ended up with my cursor feeling weird AF. TLDR; Try Using "Hardware Cursor" ingame and turning off "enhance pointer precision" in Windows mouse settings if your cursor feels off in Starcraft Remastered.

Chris_Havoc United States598 Posts October 03 2017 01:56 GMT #2 I remove mouse acceleration completely from Windows and in-game I set Mouse Sensitivity OFF Use Mouse Scaling OFF and Hardware Cursor ON and everything is fine. Any game or app that doesn't allow me to go no accel 1-to-1/6:11 ratio with mouse movement drives me nuts now. I've gotten too used to it in the last 10 years or so.
