My i-net is really poor...I can upload with mah 25-30kbps and only when i'm not using the pc. But it gets harder cuz i have a little brother. So i upload when i have time..

You dont need to defend yourself in this thread and that definitely wasn't Mani's intent. Its completely understandable that if you have a bandwidth limit or a capped upload then you probably wont be able to reciprocate. The idea though is that as a community, every one contributes a little where they can and as a whole, the group is benefit.

I don't upload at a high speed. I cap it at 20 kB/s since I share my internet with 7 other people and I feel bad that I download at 200 and upload so slow, but I always stay, leave it overnight/while I'm in class etc. and I always get more than 1:1 (I think I have less than 1:1 in the latest one. I stopped it for a while because my internet was becoming really shitty. Now it's back on. Dunno how much it helps. Hope it does help)

well downloaders are important too, even leechers, in that the very purpose of the thing is to share with people, even leechers. i don't think the problem is one of 'deserving of the download' but one of having some responsibility in the system and keeping it going. just seed what you can.

Almost everyone downloads much much faster than they upload, regardless if they share the internet connection or not, it's just the way most ISP's set up our internet connections. I can upload at about a max of 50 but I've seen my download go as high as 1300. I share my connection with others too but you can just upload to 1:1 when everyone is sleeping. Since there are people from all around the world here, when some people are asleep and uploading others are awake and trying to download, so it should work out fine.

Also, if you are sharing your connection and uploading slows the connection down, just set your max upload speed to 25% to 75% your max upload capacity. I find if I set my upload to 75% my max capacity it won't affect my connection speed much (even on other computers using the same connection). When I download I keep upload at 75% anyway because this is optimal for fastest download speeds. Set upload to 100% only when no one is using your internet connection.

This is just advice for everyone, though someone probably already mentioned things like this earlier in the thread (I only read the first page).

2. You probably need to configure your router (forward whatever port it needs, or enable UPnP)

When I downloaded IntoTheMSL I downloaded the 13.2gb but uploaded like 25gb <_<. My dl speed would be like 2kbps and my upload 12kbps;;. but yeah i usually seed past the download until I need to restart or shutdown. Although last night I barely uploaded anything from my download of the Race Wars... like 600MB only and I dunno why it was so low because my download finished.

Ok, I'm leaving the superfight torrent in my torrent program so tonight when i start dling the Starleage day vods it will continue seeding :>, 8 hours of seeding tonight =)
