These topics are good as a reminder. I'm confident that our community cares about the tracker, which is why it's been so successful today. Every now and then a reminder is needed, but strict rules shouldn't be necessary.

I personally feel a great sense of pride when i see a 1:5+ ratio. I think all of us should strive to help out the community as much as we can. Even if you have a slow upload speed, just leave it on during the night or whenever you're not using the computer. I usually only start a download when i know i will be able to seed for a while after the download finishes. Think about how you feel when you see a great torrent with a few seeds and no peers.

Upload wise my line maxes out at 48 kb/s (stupid A-DSL) and I have my torrent upload capped at 40 kb/s, so I can browse properly, etc and when I play on Bnet I cap the upload at 25 kb/s

Ugh yeah I usually have over 1 ratio after my download finishes because my connection is so strong. And then I delete the files after I watch them so I can't upload anymore. Also I can only upload 5 GB a day so I have to be careful to close the torrents after they finish otherwise they'll quickly upload over 5 GB

IMO if you are actuallly keeping the files afer you watch them once, you should keep seeding. I woulld keep seeding but I delete them ASAP cuz my HD is small. But it would be a nicer tracker overall if we could get all the torrents to have at least a few seeders. Well you guys odn't have to but I'm just saying it'd be nice

How can you not know when it was written in the first post? If you download, make sure you seed until there are plenty of seeders and the uploader can move on to the next set of games. None of this applies obviously if there are already 20 seeders. If the first completions disappear though, the uploader is left holding the bag.
