also not surprised if this map was rejected by "muh product placement" Afreeca-Blizzard simply because of the smaller size of the Overwatch logo. sure this map has its own issues maybe but so does the official one (glaringly so...) | ||

This map certainly has issues (abundance of gas, rather small middle), and balance is any one's guess, but even a brief glance at just the picture should make it blatantly obvious that this is several levels of quality above the "official" OVERWATCH map... Even the logo in the centre is much easier recognizable here. And most impressively, this was probably done almost overnight since the release of the "official" map... | ||

Its a very good map. And when you factor in that it was made in 24 hours, its a staggering feat. To make this map in that time is astoundingly impressive. LatiAs is clearly a really passionate brood war fan who wants to see the best possible scene. He saw the situation and knew he could improve it. So he got to work and created this map. He has provided an opportunity. Now its up to us to take it. To the people that can speak Korean; please do what you can to make sure this map gets noticed. Freakling: The close base is only 2000 gas which is just fine. And the middle isnt small. Changes: Id put a couple of 2x2 doodads outside the nats. And Id put a 6th mineral patch at the close 3rd base. And Id make pylon walling those bases consistent and a bit tidier in which ever way you see fit. Currently it looks like you want there to be a little backdoor path around the gas for harass units. I think it would be cool to try and keep that. But if it proves too fiddly then standard walls would work ok. The only other things that need changing are to lose that logo and give the map a new name! (now the point has been made) I propose (4)Overnight as a lasting reminder haha Detail pics: + Show Spoiler + This picture shows putting in a couple of 2x2 doodads. It also shows the current walling options and I really like them pretty much as they are. To get the other bases inline with this one is a bit tricky. ---------------------------------------------------------- The picture above shows that a wall might make workers travel the long way around the gas. It also is saying you can wall out vultures fully at this base currently which is inconsistent with the other 3 locations. ---------------------------------------------------------- This pic shows adding a 6th mineral patch. I also moved the gas up 1 tile and put a doodad under it. Its messy I know. But this should allow workers to mine the gas properly while still letting harass units have a backdoor that requires a 6th pylon to wall. This is the most problematic base of the 4. ---------------------------------------------------------- Ofcourse you could just opt for a simple solution instead. A 2 pylon wall that does not let vults in. But the gas maybe still mines properly (has been moved up 1 tile) (I didn’t test the mining in game though). ---------------------------------------------------------- Currently this base does allow harass units in the backdoor as shown. Could make a few small edits to make things faster. ---------------------------------------------------------- This base is a bit tricky. Don’t forget to continue accommodating the comsat if you make edits. There are 4 unbuildable tiles to clean up in the red circle. ---------------------------------------------------------- Again ofcourse you could just make it a full walloff with 2 pylons if you choose but that’s boring and easy way out. For this map I think it would be good to not do this. LatiAs, you have put on quite a show. Bravo! | ||

That can makes some racial and positional inequality. It is too hard to solving the problem because of BW gas' size(4x2), and I don't want to wasting so many time because of my final exams | ||
