now this is bugging me... in some replays, i can simply press 1,2,3,4 and see what the player has assigned to those keys. However, there is no option to switch between the players. On the other hand, in some replay, this simply doesnt work; i press 1,2,3,4 and nothing happens.
The interesting thing about this is, when i watch some replay with my friends on bnet (and its one of those replays u can see hotkeys in), we get to see the hotkeys from different players. For example, i press 1,2,3,4 and i see Terran units; he presses the same, he sees protoss units. Therefore i figure it has nothing to do with Who saved the replay, which most likely eliminates the PPlug from the picture.
So im asking: 1) is there a way to turn this thing ON in every replay? 2) is there a way to switch between the players in the replay? 3) am i wrong about PPlug part?
plz explain how this whole thing works. thx

I'm not sure there's any way to switch which player's hotkeys you see. But I think this is how it works:
Each spawn point on the map has a number. When you watch a replay by yourself, you're in slot 1, so you see the hotkeys of the player in the first spawn point. If you watch a replay multiplayer, your slot on the create game screen determines which spawn point's hotkeys you see.
Sorry if that's confusing.

I'm pretty sure Bob is right. You see the hotkeys of the player slot that you happen to be in when you start the replay. So I don't think you can switch back and forth to see both players hotkeys in the game.

i understand.
however, is this not a great idea for PPlug? seems not too hard to accomplish also.
oh, i just remembered PPlug is loosing support.

well there was a program from ashur or Iasgo i think which could give you the hotkey of ALL the players on the replays. But it doesn't exist anymore... I miss it :[
On topic sonuvbob is right. Best example is to have a 3 or 2 slots map with no obs whatsoever and u'll end having with 2/3 luck of one player's hotkey (if not 2/2).
