Any chance we could make SB the goto server for BW bots? Maybe with a separate match making system just for bots?
To begin with, something simple as being able to flag an account as "bot" in the settings would probably be sufficient.

I played a game recently and it was amazing. I got crushed though. I love how easy it is to just log on via browser, play a game and move on. Keep moving forward guys.

This has been answered sooo many times... The beta will go as long as the devs think is necessary, there is no set timeline.

i cant speak for tec but i think it'll go on for a while longer. matchmaking, replays and an obs system hasnt been implemented yet. probably wants to test all those features out too.

I still want to point out that AFAIK, ShieldBattery will be released with only 1v1 ladder support (please correct me if I'm wrong), and that support for 2v2, fastest, UMS, etc. will come later after release if there's demand. So there's still a lot of waiting before it's a full fledged replacement for ICCup.

Just have to say... I've been away from SC/SC2 for a little bit now... been playing since 1998. Just thought I'd get back into SC2 and the same exact day David Kim announced the huge multiplayer updates. A day or two later, I accidentally bought LotV and voila! Now I see this... and It makes me all giggly. I signed up for the beta, and thank you guys very much for this =)

I think if ShieldBattery manages to pull back people and have a decent non-competitive community hanging out in channels and playing all kinds of games it is win (there will be competitive also anyway)

What's the turnaround time for getting the beta? Do you need to be able to host games currently in SC to get it?
Been playing a lot of broodwar lately hoping to see whats up with shield battery. Looks great.

It uses BW's random algorithm, so yes, it avoids mirrors in the same way. No, we will probably not implement true random
