Hello community !

Remapped my hotkeys with the excellent tutorial:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/brood-war/90262-remapping-hotkeys-without-keycraft

Works like a charm when i launch regular starcraft, but
quite weirdly when i use iccup launcher or mca64, my hotkeys go back to the original!

Any idea how to fix this?
Thx !

(ps: it's NOT cheating -_- )

i hope ah bans anyone who remaps ~~
Have you considered the MMO-Champion forum? You are just as irrational and delusional with the right portion of nostalgic populism. By the way: The old Brood War was absolutely unplayable

If it gives you an advantage over other players it is. Remapping gives you an advantage.

Remapping isn't detectable but if you admit to it on Fish they'll drop the hammer before you can say 시발

This practice is generally frowned upon (if not outright banned) by iccup and fish server communities.

Changing your hotkeys is like the unlimited unit selection hack. It just takes away mechanical difficulty and that is, by Brood War's definition, cheating.

Have fun getting banned from Fish and iCCup, OP

ICCUP
4.2 Third party tools such as DoxStar, Obs Mode or APM Live are allowed at own risk. Administration recommend not to use them.

Not recommended, but allowed for Iccup. Comparing this to unit selection hack is a little silly in my opinion- is it really that much of an advantage that you have to perform the same number of keystrokes, but press keys slightly closer together? I wonder if anyone has any data on APM/eAPM by hotkey layout in SC2- I bet there's absolutely no difference whatsoever if you tested this and separated the data by league.

Remapping keys allows you to hit them easier, so it gives you an advantage over someone who doesn't. It's a bit like slightly lowering the distance between you and the hole in golf, or increasing the size of a hole itself.
It gives you an advantage over another player who isnt using the program.

Ok guys

I get your points, and why you may think it's cheating, i don't agree as a personnal belief (never used hacks, allways hated it). You may be right, but it just makes the game more fun for me, i'm not trying to beat everyone and get better rank - i don't really care about this things.
Seems like technically my problem can't be solved, so back to the original hotkeys

Have a nice day gentlemen

The official german hotkeys are in no way better than the english version, though. Just imagine you have to press L to select larva as Zerg for example.

Last time I checked there was even a hotkey bug in the german version. Science Vessel hotkey was 'f' and set rally point was also 'f' :D
What is best? To crush the Zerg, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the Protoss.

this is true btw. ICCup does not forbid the use of DoxStar in general. But you'll not be able to play i most tournaments i presume.
