If there already is a topic about this then im sorry but I find myself being really curious about how much money Bisu gets from streaming every day.
Right now he has 15k viewers, which is insane. But usually when i watch him he has 2-5k which is also alot. Now he regularly gets donations, but I have no clue how much. 1000 balloons = 70$?
So my question is basically, does anyone have any idea of his monthly income from streaming=)?
Edit: Also the more info about his eyebrows the better. this turned out hilarious :D

Pretty sure it's not complete, as some popular names are not included, but it gives a good sense of what some of the BW progamers have been earning and the potential for future on-comers, may it be Flash or others:
rank // name // balloons // USD 20 Terror 359k ~27k (took 1.5 weeks off for Christmas) 32 Shuttle 304k ~20k 52 Zeus 203k ~$13k 53 Best 203k ~$13k 59 Bisu 183k ~$12k (took week off for Christmas) 61 Sea 177k ~11k 68 Larva 147k ~9k 78 Britney 149k ~$8k (took week off for Christmas) 85 NaDa 100k ~$7k

Roight. BW scene is becoming something like WWE.
not that the spartan training regime and disciplining of KeSPA was all that great either, its easy to bash both but this has more to do with losing a bet with terror than it does with the entire scene itself.
of course some people get offended when they see their idol/favorite players doing comedic things "THEY SHOULD CONDUCT THEMSELVES AND BEHAVE LIKE HOLY SAINTS, NOT DOING RANDOM SILLY THINGS LIKE HUMANS".
and so what if its all an act? as long as its not criminal or downright shady/offensive, its fine enough. at the end of the day its still a job, they need to do something to feed their mouths. just like how ordinary people have to withstand the 9-5 tedum doing thankless stuff. people probably growing jelly of their donation amounts

What about shuttle then, I thought he doesn't engage in antics?
shuttle is an entertaining personality, he engages with his audience during and in between games, his viewers enjoy him, plus all he does is play against hero all day, my only complaint is that he plays against hero too much.

Didn't he make 6 figures a year on SKT? I thought he was somewhat close to 200k/yr or something.
I heard a rumor that it was effort who played the games that terror won, if that's true I guess I wouldn't be surprised about terror doing something like that, but it seems rather mean from effort. Although that would make it a truly genius prank. It would also explain the picture with him looking smug with effort in the background.
Could someone who speaks Korean confirm or deny this rumor please?

Stardust actually said that on his stream last night. EffOrt played the games that Terror won and all of it was fake from the start. Just like a WWE match.

Still wonder what Bisu ever done to them to make them want Bisu shaving his eyebrows so desperately. As we Vietnamese tend to say: handsome is not a crime

I've been intrigued ever since the series because it's one thing to download Bisu reps and watch them while practicing for the finals, it's another to be telling Terror what to do and watch what Bisu does in reaction via maphack. In other words, I'm very interested as to what Effort has to say about this.

Only because it's fun for use doesn't necessarily mean it's fun for them. I mean, there probably are people who like being publicly disgraced but I think most people do it to earn money and not for fun. And if that's the case we are pretty close to prostitution.

Afreeca viewers can become really abusive at time, and I myself do not have favourable impressions of the site due to high density of streamers who adopt crazy practices just to attract them balloons and stars.

I don't see how that is really any different than Twitch. Why call out Afreeca specifically?
about ex-progamer streaming and getting money - i don't see anything wrong with that. that's what happens when bw is no longer as its peak, plus they need to earn money and streaming is decent. it's just similar to uploading vids in youtube hoping to get millions of views for money. also, if i would win the lottery, i would be very happy to pay bisu huge sum of money to stream and i would sponsor bw games.
anyways, i'm so excited for sat. now i wonder how bisu would look like in that new eyebrow do of his. well, he's going to military soon. must start to shave some hair, so why not start with the eyebrows? haha

Bisu of all people can do so many things with his life. He can get another job at any time, really. The question is if he can get a GREAT job.
I have no doubt that Bisu would be the first pick over random pimpled high school kids for most low-end jobs. I have no doubt that his keyboard usage would do the same for jobs like data entry, etc. The only place I have doubts is whether he can get a strong desk job; I mean, he hasn't been in school for how long? How far in school did he get? Was he really dedicated to school when he was there? Star power can only get you so far.
However, we have seen other success stories out of BW, like Nada and XellOs, so maybe Bisu could be another one.
But for now you are right, why not bank 12k USD a month (actually more since he missed 1 week, practically 1/4 of his potential earnings)? I sure as fuck would.

based off the conservative 1 balloon=0.07USD rate, Bisu just earned almost 40000USD this month for comparison the entire prizepool of Afreeca Starleague is only ~21600USD
so flamers and haters can talk about bisu having a weak mentality, scared of army, scared of meeting flash in finals, not having a long term view of helping boost the BW scene whatever, when you are raking in such dough on a regular basis, simply from regular streaming, everything else is fluff.
if he thinks he doesn't want to play in tournaments anymore because he will be forced to stream less (hence cutting his stream revenue), then thats his personal choice. I don't blame bisu for that. people on forums love to talk about morals and obligations etc, but put them in the same shoes, almost everyone would have done the same as Bisu.

ok... here is how it works. regular bjs get 60% best bjs get 70% partner bjs get 80% Bisu is a best bj. Flash and NaDa are the only partner bjs in bw scence. Flash also received hi partner bj in record time. There are rumors in Korean community that Flash was already guarenteed to become a partner bj if he came to Afreeca by the ceo of Afreeca(Suh Soo Kil) since Flash had several meetings with him. Flash knew about ASL before anyone else. I remember from his stream last week someone asked him why he moved to gangnam and he said b/c starleague is going to be held near here. He moved to his new place just b4 he started his afreeca stream, which is 4-5 months ago..
lol so bisu is only best bj(so my rate above is still correct, ie,1 balloon=0.07USD rate) thought he will be higher after 3+ years in the scene (also i find it hilarious people still know don't what kind of streamer he is after he has been doing this for 3 years)

He was offered Partner Bj last april. He declined bc he didnt want to attend all the mendatory meetings and events partner bjs have to go to.

Bisu sure prioritize his free time for himself.
Plus he has to come out of kongdoo if he beomes partner bj.
Well, Afreeca has FlaSh's back so no surprise he knew about it before anyone although I don't see how him moving to Gangnam is evidence that he was the first to know.
In my mind, Bisu is retired. He no longer plays to compete in tournaments and does not practice accordingly. I no longer consider him when ranking top/active players. With that train of thought, I can be okay with him not participating.

It is a bit too much when he is the best PvZ and PvP player at the moment. Have some faith in him. I can't believe I'm telling you that.

He can still be dominant and it isn't about lacking faith. It is nothing negative. I see him as an entertainer and am glad as hell he stills plays. I can watch him anytime I want. It sucks he won't play in tournaments, but as a Bisu fan I've seen him dominate as protoss for a very long time. I hope that the scene can foster some new protoss talent for the sake of the race.

Why? Not everyone watches his stream. In fact, I mostly use korhal.info.pl so I can skip anything in between games.
There are a lot of map posts and "한국과 워킹홀리데이 비자 체결국가" on google translator: "Korea Working Holiday Visa and Parties"
Is that why we did not see him streaming for few days lately?
He met up with Flash Jaedong and Julyzerg yesterday for reasons they won't reveal. (I'm hoping there is an event coming up with them) He went drinking with Flash and Sea after his photo shoot today.

Those maps are part of his Sponsor Ad "Hi Korea"
You mean their photo shoot right? Because Bisu is not playing in this starleague..
