CheckIn page is showing that checkin is from 4am EST to 5:10am EST and that play starts at 5:15am, but the post says play is at 13:00 EST (1pm). Which is correct?

Sorry, fixed.

Correct time to play is 18:00 GMT (+00:00) (15 minutes buffer time).

I just realized the preliminary map pool consists of a 4p, 3p and a 2p map. Interesting.

Good stuff guys!

To be honest, its both good and bad in some terms. Eventually like very few top players will end up matching themselves all the time and the provided cast might be getting less attractive with the next weeks going on, on the other side its more interesting for weakers players, since they may be able to jump to the main event.

Ps. Does seeding after the preeliminary round includes that top1 starts at top of the bracket and top2 at the bottom (etc)?

its 7 Bo3s.

The simplest way of putting it is that the first Bo3 is against a random opponent, you win or lose(2-0 or 2-1 or 1-2 or 0-2) will only determine who you play next, so if your score after the first game is 2-0 then you'll play against someone else whose score is 2-0, and lets say you win that 2-0 too now your total score is 4-0, so your next opponent will be someone whos also 4-0 or if no one is 4-0 yet then you'll play someone whos 3-1 instead, its kinda like a mini ladder, people play others of equal rank or in this case set score. Top 32 after 7 Bo3s qualify.

Thats perfect, but prolonging it that long is not a good idea, better to play atleast 2 rounds in one day if not more (for prelims)

So the last SSL used HBR to even the race distribution after an all T semi-final in the previous league which is understandable. But considering the race distribution of foreigner players I cannot believe that you are using such a map as heartbreak ridge. If you want to avoid Terrans that much, why not just use central plains and battle royal? Well, you probably plan to use them in the elimination stage anyway, so just let Scan participate so I can watch atleast one Terran in the whole thing.

I agree with [sc1f]eonzerg, 1 Bo3 per week seems really drawn out. I fear that players might not pull through those 7 weeks just to get to the ro32.

Besides that: BW Hype! I hope Sayle will be back for this.

Guys, it doesn't matter if my account on the iccup website doesn't work, right? It's a problem for tournaments since I can't sign up and play with the same account (should probably have just started playing on a new account zz) but since this is done via the TL site it'll be fine right?

wasn't gonna sign up but 32 players is a lot how many good white bw players can there be right? hue

You don't have to use the same account on ICCup as your TL name. Just write the name you're gonna use on ICCup in the box when registering.

yeah I figured, should be fine then.

is HBR that bad? FS and Medusa are both considered T favoured aren't they? Should balance it out a little. Seems to me like theres a lot of strong foreign zergs though and both medusa and hbr stats indicate Z>P
