Effort wtf?
Why would he care for a stupid launcher?

i always felt something was off and wrong ever since he started only massing hunters on stream after his hospital discharge...i have a feeling this is just a cover to the true reason why hes forfeiting.
i mean if thats really the case, why is zero, killer, larva etc. not protesting as well? i dont think the os would really significantly affect his game

What the hell is hunters? I'm not that knowledgeable about bw but thought I knew the names of all the units at the very least.
Sounds bad for Effort, hope this stuff blows over.

hunters stands for a custom map called big game hunters, where have inifite resources in your main base.

The Hunters and Big Game Hunters are different maps. They're not custom maps and they're both original Blizzard maps (with The Hunters being first and Big Game Hunters added with the expansion I think due to popular demand). The Hunters has normal amount of resources (has 10 mineral patches compared to the usual 9 I guess, but still only 1,500 minerals on each and 1 geyser) while Big Game Hunters has "infinite" amount (actually it's 50,000 minerals per mineral patch; plus 15 mineral patches in each main base and 2 geysers).
EffOrt, as do most Koreans, plays The Hunters I believe, not the Big Game Hunters.

Hunter is actually the version of big game hunters which has limited resources. It's a 8 player map. With more mineral blocks at each mineral/2 vespene geysers at each spot. Minerals and gas's in each corner, sides,top and bottom of map. Speaking on the forfeit of effort. That is on him if hes mad about a misunderstanding. Also shouldn't he much more used to xp bw anyways considering he had requested for it earlier. It's part of bw professionalism to be ready for anything. He should of known bisu would receive star treatment anyways. As he has earned eveything he has ever gotten.

Maybe that launcher permits custom hotkeys and he doesn't want players using them.
Maybe he uses custom hotkeys, in which case I recommend buying key remapper. You can even set numbers on windows, capslock, tabs etc keys or middle mouse buttons with it for ez control group management.
Anyway, fuck! Effort = my favorite zerg

effort has played as a professional before custom hotkeys, why would he change now?
this sounds like a bunch of stupid shit. i reckon he's just trying to find an excuse to not play after his automobile accident.

Is this Windows 7 / XP thing really a thing? does one get game changing less responsive Mutas when running BW on 7 than on XP?
Does BW running natively on 7 mess it up?
or
Does compatibility mode for XP in 7 mess up BW?

windows 7 has been out for over 6 years. i'm sure that if there was any responsiveness problems in regards to unit control, it would have been already reported by now.

There's no need to show your caprice when you got into ro16. Effort played 2 games at ro24, there weren't any problems for him and his performance which boasted highly. Why some third party program is that important when you play/use the core of game which Blizzard made and patched?
Truly bad if one of the Zerg will be vanished. Are we gonna see again Terran dominiance?

It's bad when such a good zerg forfeits. And I can certainly understand him being sad if double standards have been applied when XP was requested. Maybe Sonic can work some of his magic and negotiate with him?:-(

i have the feeling that Sonic will not like effort ragequit --.anyway im sure if it was Bisu the thing would have been different,but who knows,Btw there is something i dont understand very well,effort was mad cuz he played on xp like he requested ?

Could someone post more information on the car accident? I'm just curious how severe it was. I really hope he can recover. Effort had a real tough time during his KESPA days too and I was hoping progamer experience would be different in the SOSPA era. I would have liked to think that Sonic would go and talk with him. SSL is going to take a big hit if Effort and then Bisu (if army makes him) both drop out.
