The only thing i would be really happy about would be another add on which adds up to 2 or 3 units per race. Because u could test it and everything and if its just worse you could basically come back to SC/BW again and u wouldnt even mind.. or think.. will i be lone now.. ? D: | ||

Introducing heroes as a critical part of teh game is going to seriously impact teh playing experience, so that's not good, but there is no harm in introducing a more complicated heroes system for UMS purposes, or even introducing a mild experience system to give micro and tactics more weight. With SC running for about 10 years now and the progamin scene for more than half a decade, there is a ton of valuable experience to be applied to the making of a new competitive RTS in the style of starcraft. There are good aspects of various genres taht can be incorporated into RTS, granted the RPG element isn't the best idea for this, something like the tactical complexity of a FPS is more suitable to a game like starcraft. The introduction of more tactical possibilities always means more room for innovative play and more room for the most skilled to display their work, and this is a worthy idea to pursue. And no, I don't think the comment itself is meaningless, unless it is somehow fake. It sounded like a pre-announcement announcement to me. | ||

Personally I would just like to see a Remade Starcraft with everything the same, units, damage, costs , etc. With visual changes like new terrains new map editor and the overall general look of things. Basically just a new game engine all together. It wouldn't even have to be 3D just maybe 2D with the illusion of 3D. This way it would play exactly the same but just look a lot cooler graphics-wise with new unit animations, sound effects, and things like that. This way I can still play an old game without my friends saying shit like "Stop living in the past". Also public gaming would be somewhat renewed which would bring in much more support to the community which seems to have leveled off or began on the downward incline. | ||

I didn't really like the graphics in wc3, but that doesn't matter. Using 3d is simply better; it takes less memory and looks smoother (compared to in sc where groundunits can look and move in 8 directions only) | ||

There was that new UMS with 3D graphics... warhammer rts? It looks good, I think SC could use similar but more modern and better graphics. I just hope there are no more unit AI glitches and the units aren't sluggish like WC3. If the interface and control is nice and sharp, there's really no way SC2 can tank.. besides some really bad random element like Items and Creep and Heroes but that's a fairies pixies and dragons thing and not a guns aliens and tanks thing. | ||
