If this is something people are interested in, i would consider it. My main concern is that the tournaments are not official tournaments like every other game currently on stream.

I would think there would be people that would watch Brood War if there was something in a language they could understand.
There are a few reasons i avoided doing this when i initially set up the stream. The main reason was i don't own the videos those casters created, and would need to get permission to use them. It would also have been more work for me to organize the games but that's not so much of an issue now Back then there was also alot of drama and controversy about combatEX, who is co-casting a huge ammount of the english games. I don't personally have an issue with him, but lots of people do.
Once again if its something people want i'd consider it.
I appreciate those who are still watching. I can't believe it's almost been 3 years since i started the stream. I suceeded in my original goal to create a place for people to discover and rediscover and just appreciate SC:BW, which is in my opinion one of the best RTS games made. I have gotten tons of mails and messages from people who tell me they either saw the stream and started playing again, or saw the stream and started playing the game for the first time! We can't let BW be forgotten.
Wouldn't some of the older casts be considered along the lines of abandonware and fall under fair use? The reason I don't keep the channel open anymore is because of the saturation of pre-2008 vods (especially all the games around 2002) and TSL.
BW was at its best in the Shinhan/Batoo/Pocari Sweat days, and the skill gap between games from that era and outside that era is just massive, it's like watching two different games. There's plenty of vods available even just on nevake.
Thank you so much for this stream. I've been reliving my college days for the past few weeks and I intend to be always watching this whenever I get the chance.
Hey Medry are you still looking for the GOMTV Classics? I know Season 1 & 2 plus the Star Invitational are currently available on YouTube. The Invitational is 100% complete and S1 & S2 are mostly there.
Of course the VoD quality is rubbish (240p) and so far I've been unable to find any source video files outside of YT, so you would need to pull them off yourself if you so desire.
Also, since I can't locate the source videos I can't verify any copyright claims. However the VoDs are quite old and GOM hasn't messed with them yet so who knows.
Medry can you play the games chronologically instead of randomly? I would be more interest to watch a whole tournament and series instead of some random vods here and there. Others may feel the same about that too. Also most people aren't interest in pre-2006 vods I guess because they are just not state of the art in terms of gameplay. Maybe outsource these vods to after midnight

Very interesting proposition, but i guess it will need a lot of work in order to arrange the vods.
Actually, it's awesome that there are some very old games included. I see this stream as celebrating BW's history in a way. About randomness, I'd like to also watch games in order, but it doesn't bother me as much.

Being that this is a thread about old school games, I have been searching and trying to think what the name of the tournament from 2010ish or earlier was called, it was created on teamliquid I think it was all the top foreign players (mondragon, white-ra, idra type era) playing each other tournament style, I wanted to try and find the replays but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called! Anyone remember?

TSL? Not sure, you probably already found out.
On another note tho, is the stream down? been "offline" for me the last 3 days.
