Sometimes players just slump. I don't know how good his overall results were in his prime vs flash/last, but I really hope Larva gets over it and qualifies for the ASL and gives us some good games.

Larva has a family now so his focus may be a bit split.
Do popular progamers get recognized on the streets/trains? Do they get mobbed by fans or is it more low-key like someone will recognize them and maybe say hi or give them a nod? I'm assuming no swarms like they do with celebrities in the US?
if youre flash/bisu/jd/faker etc. then they will get the low-key someone recognises them and says hi/approaches them and ask for signature etc. might not be so low key depending on the area theyre in. tbh even big time celebrities dont get mobbed much in korea unless theyre in full make-up, have staff with them and are doing something (like a broadcast or some activity). koreas a pretty respectful country in that respect i guess, they see a celeb whos clearly spending some personal time and they wont make a big scene out of it. some celebs dont even get recognised
game on overwatch: mini taking a lead with pressure from 1gate opening zealots few moments later soma scouts with overlord sees that mini walledoff with cybernetics core and made stargate before finally putting down the first cannon reacting with a frustrating ''sssssssh'' haha that must be so triggering if protoss puts out all the tech before even thinking of putting down a cannon
first spon mini 2:0 soma
respon mini 2:0 soma mini pvz is brutal
respon#2 mini 1:2 soma (soma first win was ling all-in second win 2hatch muta rush) a win is a win :D

i would guess that they get recognized since cadenzie already gets recognized on the streets too.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but seems as good a place as any. I took a good look at Soma's statistics on Sponbbang and compiled some of his records against prominent ex-pros and amateurs.
Starting with his opponents in Group A of ASL8: v Flash (6-53, Pre-June) (12-15, June) These numbers really represent what kind of hot streak Soma has been on. Prior to this month, Soma has had no success in playing Flash whatsoever. v Guemchi (7-1, June) ZvP being Soma's best matchup make this rather unsurprising. He doesn't lose much to low tier Protosses. v Sacsri (2-2, Lifetime) Small sample size obviously, but on par with Soma's long term ZvZ winrates. Those being 48.1% (74-80) pre-2019 and 51.4% (56-53) in 2019.
Turning now towards his ZvT statistics: v Rush (108-174, Pre-2019) (130-139, 2019) [A closer look at 2019 shows a 93-117 record for the months of Jan. through Apr.. And a record of 37-22 in May and June.] The man Soma plays against the most and also played in the CMSL Finals. The 2019 stats show Soma's marked improvement in this matchup with his head to head winrate nearing 50% in 2019. The first record in these next five statlines will be for the months of Jan. thru. Apr., and the second will be for May and June. v Last (3-14) (11-15) Similar to Soma's numbers against Flash, but smaller sample size. v Light (8-17) (6-13) TvZ specialist Light mantains a good record despite Soma's hot streak. v Sharp (18-24) (8-11) Basically the same percentage. Met in CMSL semifinals, Soma winning 3-2. v Mong (18-14) (7-6) Teammates from MPL S2, this vod features them playing each other, Soma losing the first, then winning several. v Sorry (22-21) (5-2) They also met in KCM Challenge S5W6, Soma winning there.
Onto his ZvP statistics: Same as above with these statlines. v Mini (16-22) (12-13) Soma closing the gap here against the best ZvPer in the world. v Best (4-7) (6-5) Best has a 27-20 record versus Zerg in June. Undefeated against the likes of Zelot, Calm, Hyuk, Hm, and Byungsoo for a combined 13-0. Against Zero he has a losing record(5-10). v Horang2 (13-15) (9-5) Another case of Soma flipping a winrate. v Snow (57-51) (1-6) Total number of games trailed off these last two months, unfortunately. v Huro (20-1) (11-4) Just the last couple days has Huro been able to take games off Soma. v Rain (3-4) (4-0) Limited no. of games played but Soma with a winning record against KSL3 champ.
Now ZvZ: All stats are lifetime. v Zelot (10-5) Two to one in favor of Soma against another top Zerg amateur. It's also worth noting, incase anyone missed it, Zelot credited Soma as the best Zerg amateur in his interview with TL. v Larva (38-38) Larva has previously helped Soma by offracing as Terran against him in practice. Dead even in head to head ZvZs though. v Killer (12-10) All of these games coming in June. Bo9 loss on June 20th. Bo5 win on the 22nd. v Zero (7-8) Zero 13-3 against Zergs in June including 3-0's over both Hyuk and Sacsri. v Miso (12-21) Miso once talked about the role confidence plays in ZvZ in a winners interview, I believe. Miso's confident and it shows as he has the best record against Soma.
Misc. Matchup Stats: All stats are lifetime. v Forgg (44-26) / v Byul (40-25) / v Prime (22-10) / v Leta (15-10) / v Sea (12-10) / v Shinee (80-70) v Ssak (3-13) / v Tyson (40-32) / v Stork (25-12) / v Movie (35-17) / v KEH (13-7) / v Jaehoon (37-22) v Shuttle (16-13) / v JD (3-0) This vod features the Bo5 sweep against the real Jaedong.
Conclusion: On paper, many of these numbers could seen as above average for any Zerg, but what makes them spectacular is that Soma is an amateur player. Players without pro experience have never been able to set winning percentages this high against top of the line competition. This post was geared at looking at Soma's sponbbang stats, but I'd look to take the time to mention his run in CMSL. Sharp, Stork, and Zero didn't make it to the Finals. What else do those three have in common? Soma beat them all. Completely unprecedented what Soma did there in CMSL. Detractors may say, "It was online," or " Competition wasn't the best." The tournament had Rain in it and he got bounced in the Ro32 by the man Soma lost to in the Finals, Rush. Criminally underrated. Someone in another thread said he was underrated. That's an understatement. And the fact that hardly anyone, save a few, here in the foreign community talk about him, even though many have cried about the lack of new blood in the Korean scene over the past several years, is an absolute disgrace. The sky is the limit for this kid. As I said before, Soma is a man of setting precedents. The next steps for him are obviously making through the ASL8 Ro24 and possibly qualifying for the KSL. There are things I didn't mention like his participation in DSL3, his winning the fourth season of an amateur starleague organized by 41TV, or his winning the ACS here in 2019, or even his making to the finals of a small starleague organized by Sharp where Soma lost in the finals to Free. That about wraps this up. Assuming playing on a stage in front of people isn't too much for him, I believe he will advance into the Ro16 and like I said the sky is the limit for him.
Thx for the info dsadsadsa0, i had to pick between Soma and Rush for my asl fantasy league team so the info helped. Ended up going with Rush tho , Soma's lack of lan experience was a deal breaker for me.
