I'm ready for more to come. Sonic gaming is amazing.
KeSPA teams are rumored to be cutting a lot of the B-team and poaching from eSF teams in October (when the "Don't hite eSF players" rule expires), so I wouldn't be at all surprised to be a lot more retirements shortly, especially since BW didn't up and die the way a lot of people expected.
Jaehoon's retirement is a little surprising, because his 11-13 record isn't that bad. Though, I suppose, most of his wins are against random guys, and he couldn't get into the OSL. I guess that means it's more likely he'll play BW. I think a lot of KeSPA protosses are more inclined than the other races to not like SC2, since they're playing the least mechanical race in a less mechanical game.
Maybe he just decided that he doesn't want to dedicate another year of his life to SC2?
Good luck to Jaehoon in whatever he does (please come to SOSPA, please come to SOSPA, please come to SOSPA) it can be tough finding good employment after playing video games you're whole life. Does anyone know if he's been through the military yet? Because I'm guessing now would be timely for that if he hasn't.

SC2 is slowly but surely killing the korean E-sports scene, as far as the former BW pros goes. Such great players just keep on retiring and ofcourse thats not surprising at all. Their dreams and pasion were in Broodwar not in some other games.
I hope Jaehoon can participate in the amateur scene and find something enjoyable to work from now on. Jaehoon Hwaiting!
LOL.
What a joke, man. For every great BW pro that has retired I can name you a mediocre or just down right bad BW pro who has actually made a career worth having in SC2.
Moreover, a lot of the BW guys were reaching the end of their eSports careers one way or another. It's not the fault of SC2 every time one of these veterans retires, many times it's just the fault of their age and deteriorating motivation for playing video games to make a living. No reason to continue this "SC2 is killing eSports" BS.

From what I heard according to when Major left team 8 is that 4 players were cut from the team. Maybe its because of that. But that was before Jin air came looking around the corner.
As far as it goes for the retirement of alot of progamers that came from Broodwar. Yes the transition to StarCraft 2 made some people retire from it. BUT there has to be some realisation that Kespa wants to innovate and show progress through time. Yes it is sad to see the old broodwar players go BUT in my opinion it would be a bit lame to see all or most old bw players succeed as much as in starcraft 2 as they did in BroodWar.
Don't bring any of that this game is better that game is killing esports bs into my bw forums;; Sad day for Team 8; it seems most of their roster seems to have changed, I was hopeful for them since they just got a sponsor Can't wait to see the Jaehoon arbiters in SSL Hopefully he doesn't go to the army straight away
