Huh you're right (except it's not alt but shift), hadn't even noticed. :o They made it like War3, shift + X on some units adds the units to the group (and creates the group if it didn't exist to begin with). Still, the longer [X, shift select, ctrl+X] might be better cause you know what's in your group before and after adding units into it; i.e. you're not surprised when your group is full etc. | ||

you select army press control 1 to save them on 1. now do the same with other army on 2. now press 1 shift 2 and it will put those two together....i think that was the thingy update... but im also not 100% sure... | ||

I'm not sure how it really works but imagine if you had selected some drones and transfered them to your b2 to avoid some templar / dt drop : After getting out of it fairly easily with glings/hydras whatever, you realize that the drones who were transfered have not reached the other base. But for whatever reason you can't ctrl then left click them(otherwise it's all random drones from the screen) nor shift select them (because of ovis/larva whatever) nor square select them (for the same reason) then there's one left solution : Simply alt + left click one of the drone's transfered and u get all the previous drones. It works for every units. I'd really be thankfull to whoever who have a better explanation on how about it works precisely, because for some reason i can't recall the same units. | ||

o_O i don't know if that made any sense.. but anyway that's all it does. the thing is, there are a lot of times when it just doesn't work, so it would just be better for everyone to ferget about it. and the only real situation where it could be helpful would be while peon transfering to prevent a harass (e.g. reaver drop) and you want to return them back later on. i've noticed in reps that many good players just team the transfer peons and can just get them back like that, so... | ||
