Perfectman has been spotted on afreeca and is playing broodwar and the lack of appearance in proleague makes this rumour seem really concrete and true that he probably has retired and kt haven't release an official statement yet for now .
Side rant about Perfectman situation in this, It must be really hard for perfectman to come back in to progaming only to see that he can't play the game he loves any more since broodwar isn't the main game any more and because of that maybe sc2 isn't his interest and has no passion for it .
Other kt players are transitioning to sc2 and yet if this rumours are true than perfectman probably has no interest in sc2 because if he did he would have continued to stay in KT house without any opposition or a hidden retirement like this . I respect his decision and wish him lots of good luck and have a bright future in other things besides being good at broodwar .
I guess no one really cares about the Perfectman who cheeses most of the time but in the end he was able to deliver a shocking game like Iris v Perfectman on shades of twilight .If you haven't watch it than you are missing out some awesome reaver and zealot micro .
He just flamed a mutual friend of mine on FB in Korean for someone bming KT in lieu of the Fantasy vs Flash match / he sounded like + indirectly stated he's still apart of them.
Perfectman retiring would be one of the biggest... that man has been a backbone player for a few teams now. Wouldn't surprise me at all if ex-Oz players followed soon.
When he joined KT, he said in his interview that he was just working manual labour jobs after Oz disbanded because he couldn't really do anything else. I don't think he wants to go back to doing that so I don't think he'll choose to retire.

I lub perfectman so much. like that msl bo3 vs light, and how i was bragging constantly about how pman had 0 chance to win...and then he shows me up! and any game against light tbh. he won some must win games for oz when it looked like there was no more hope. mostly vs light though lol

I really forgot about him after he joined KT. If he doesn't like sc2 it will be for the best him but i hope he at least continues streaming on afreeca so bw won't go down that fast. I still fear that there are more retirements to come :[

They give the best years of their life - sacrificing everything including their education and love life. Countless hours sitting in front of practicing a game they love, followed by a non-lucrative job (more often than not) as a progamer in a team.
And this is how it all turns up. Make your career in a different game or quit (inevitably).

The last time Perfectman was seen at Yongsan was almost 4 weeks ago. He didn't take part in the SC2 OSL prelimis either.

There has been so many issues with the current season that I forgot about some players (like Perfectman). Good time to remember those lesser-fielded players on each team...

No prob, but secretly I'm hoping you were right and I'm dead-wrong. I don't want another one of the eldest gaming idols retiring~
i thought this was the guy who originally had like a win record of like 4-O [perfect man with a perfect score] and he said he didnt think bisu was that good, but then he lost every game after that including losing to bisu.. and everyone laughed like he was some kind of joke in the pro scene..
Not that surprising. He joined KT in January, played two games in March, then disappeared for the rest of the year. I hope he finds better success after retirement this time around, as it was sad to hear how he didn't enjoy the menial jobs that he did last time.
I feel like he was one who could win everything but got shafted by circumstance, i still have my pm to dental_floss stating i wanted to be part of his fanclub had it in my sig too... feel like a traitor for removing it.
This guy is one of those background guys that people like me tend to miss, until they realize how strong the makeup of them team is with them vs without. He isn't flash or FaNtaSy. but he to me he seems like a strong mid level protoss that really increases the depth of the team bench. That is always a great teammate to have.

Watching afreeca streams is not as easy as clicking a link atm I'm afraid If you want to know more you can probably try to search the topic on TL or ask someone. Afaik you either need to be korean or use some sort of app that simulates you being on a smartphone or whatever that is. That's just what I heard though, I never actually made the effort to try and make it work.
