Which of you have strengths in communication? Administration? Technical knowledge of server maintenance? Negotiation with the businesses you are talking about? This is stuff that I'm not so confident you can learn along the way without a very strong and mature outlook and devotion to your cause. You have already made a mistake in naming it after yourself, which looks arrogant and childish. I am saying these things not to be mean or pessimistic, but to urge you to spend your time on projects you KNOW you can accomplish because you have the right skillsets, not projects that would be awesome but that you don't have the manpower or skillsets to follow through with. So gl gl and make sure you do your research to clarify just what you're proposing.

I think that there absolutely no point in trying to get a new server set up, no offense but as that will require a lot of resources that i'm not sure you guys have. What should be done in my opinion is to get people to help integrate a more foreign popular gaming channel on Fish, and have events , tournaments, and whatnot on Fish and have the koreans participate as well. I am in [Name] clan on Fish and I have met a lot of the Korean players on Fish as of lately, and I already know the last thing they are going to do is switch servers again, it was hard enough for all of the ones who moved from USWest to Fish server. There should be people who can speak korean and have connections within the Korean community help foreign players join Korean clans on the FIsh server, that would insight a influx of new / old players to come back to Brood War, in order to achieve that goal they once / now have of joining a prestigious BW Korean clan. The customization options on Fish are very awesome, and I doubt any korean players will want to leave Fish to play on a foreign server, they will just think about iCCup and remember how that was. I think that if there was a way to get a simpatico between Korean's and Foreigners in order to get Foreigners in Korean clans, that would be the best way to integrate the two communities and make BW flourish again, these are my personal beliefs and thoughts though so take it with a grain of salt. I am already in the process of doing this and wouldn't mind helping the cause if I was needed / wanted to. What I am working on right now is all that of which I stated, once again nice initiative and effort, I hope it all works out for you and that is my opinion on the matter.

Every time I start doubting in BW's longevity something like this springs up to prove me wrong... ![]() Also; Eywa, don't listen to the non-believers. You've been spending a tremondous amount of time and energy organizing all sorts of events, just looking at your track record for the past 12 months or so should be enough to silence most nay-sayers, in addition to affirming how passionate you are for this game. I probably won't be able to help you with anything (though if I can I will), but I have no doubts in this project, it's a great initiative and I really appreciate all the work you're doing for the community. Thank you. --------------------------------------------------- One more thing, about creating a new server, I really like this idea, and I hope we'll see it come to fruition. If it's done right it just might be what's needed to bridge the Korean, Chinese and foreigner communities together -- creating a truly international ladder. It might be tough to get it up and running, both the technical aspects and getting players to leave their home court for this new server. Good Luck! --TehRei

I would not mind trying to help commit to the scene but you should heavily rethink how it will be possible. Good Luck you can place me down to help support.

The other issue is your idea of 24 hour Brood War TV isn't really going to work IMO. Your going to need a healthy amount of casters. I understand Shimmy has your back but realistically a caster could at most commit 5 hours of casting per day and at that point its like almost a full time job. Thats only about 25% of the day and that would be the best case scenario. I would not mind trying to help commit to the scene but you should heavily rethink how it will be possible. Good Luck you can place me down to help support. Why do you need a caster? The VODs would already be casted in Korean.

There's already people restreaming and commentating korean vods and no one is saying anything about them. T_T too bad it's US/Canada only. Good luck guys. ![]()
