Uniting the servers would be sick, and 24/7 BW may just save the game. There's a lot of fight left in BW. The Chinese Scene, and foreign scene are bouncing back stronger than ever.

I'd love to get involved as much as possible as an English Caster. Also, I think you should coordinate with the rising Chinese BW scene to aid with content for the 24/7 channel. Other than that, I'd love to get involved, especially as a caster.

Man there really should be an option for broodwar to automatically translate any korean to english. I don't care if google translate isnt 100% accurate, its better then reading random signs. Obviously there would be option to turn this on or off since people these days are very picky. That Bbulsori.com clanwar thing could have possibly bridged the gap between foreigners and koreans but getting eliminated in ro32 didn't help us prove our worth. A new server would be refreshing but like many people say, it would be difficult to attract people to change servers. If anything I think you should have kept everything secret and then when you are ready, reveal it on teamliquid because I don't really follow broodwar foreigner beef but its easy to see eywa is getting flamed hardcore. either way he puts in cash for tourny so he has my vote. I want a part in the 24/7 stream. I have alot of material I wish to share about broodwar and various tricks.

this server will never exist..so stop investing time and ressources in it..u better be playing on fish rather than iccup which is dead, ruled by BM kids and empty...

Yes, he is banned.

Not sure off the top of my head how the poll relates but he asked me to post it and I didn't have any problems with that.

Referring to the bolded part of your post, he isn't really getting flamed at all. People are just saying their views on this idea of his. If he didn't want to be referred to directly he could have named this something totally different...

This is just an idea of mine. Feel free to take is at is. What keeps most of the community together? These tournaments and most specifically, Casters. There are few and scarce me being one of which. Being a admin on iCCup I meet a lot of players that do not speak English.

I don't know if it work or even possible but I think in order to have a chance you'll first need casters of multiple languages. One for Korean, Russian or Ukrainian (I apologize I'm not sure of languages are different), English and Spanish. I think that would cover the most range of languages that are mainly used in the Brood War scene at the moment. Now with the Chinese OSL we need someone for Chinese as well. But this is where I feel my plan would not work. I just listed 5 Languages. It is moderately difficult to even list 5 consistent Brood War casters. Let me try not including myself: Sayle, Shimmy, Elegant, HackleBeast and uhhhhhhhhhhh..... L_Master (even though I haven't seen awhile).

Also did you notice? They are spoken English. I can speak broken Chinese with a thick American accent. Meaning, it would not be the most pleasurable experience of the international community more specifically the Chinese audience.

This is what I'd do. Scrap the idea for a new server for the time being you need to be more active in order to join communities together. I want you to get in contact of the head (if there is one) of FISH or the Korean scene, Russian and Chinese scene. It appears and very much like ninazerg said it appears your the one who wants to lead the charge which no offense I don' think should be done.

Get all those members together. Get translators too because communication on English terms would make you look too important IMO. Figure out what each "side" wants / requires for them to work. Get an idea going. Multi Scene Clan might work. Incorporate the Casters for each language. Slowly syncing and merging the "scenes" together. Have everyone play on their own servers gather the replays have the casters do the merging for the time being. Don't jump the gun too fast.

I think if your able to get that far I think you've done your part. Then see how the community goes from it there. The casters are what show the other scenes light thus this clan league idea. Have each set of casters not only do their teams but also the other foreign teams.

Here's the check list.
☑ Find Leader(s) of the different "scenes"
☑ Describe how you want to "merge" the scenes or better put interact with the other scenes
☑ List to concerns brought up by other Leader(s)
☑ Figure out to incorporate multi scene Clan League or Tournament and see if possible?
☑ Did it Work?
☑ Shall you make a new independent Brood War website that consists of all languages described? or interact within iCCup?
☑ Gather a group of reliable translaters to help build confidence between the language barriers of players

Hope this helps at all. Again this is VERY HYPOTHETICAL AND I HAVE MY DOUBTS

Well I think since he got busted he now doesn't have the balls to speak, just an idea.
