Still, this transfer helps balance the teams a little bit. I'll cheer for T8 and Movie and I hope they win the next proleague over KT or SKT, or get silver against ACE =) Hmm... I think this transfer will benefit Movie more than it will the team. He'd been unhappy at CJ for some time. Now that he's on Team 8 he'll at least get more playing time, especially since Sea and Killer are slumping hard. He's also buddies with Tyson so he already has friends in the team. That sounds promising. I wish them all the best!
On another note, do you know if Movie's salary is significantly lower than Hiya's was? They seem to be comparably strong players, but I assume Hiya must have had a higher salary or else why wouldn't T8 have picked him up?

Everyone likes to hype up Sea on TL 'cos he did some guest appearance thing a few years back but the truth is he is one of the most underwhelming players with a terrible record. Sea has always been very reliable in proleague. Baby is obviously extremely talented. Killer was just starting to look strong before Oz disbanded. Jaehoon and Tyson were just starting to look strong when MBC disbanded, and Jaehoon had always been a "practice bonjwa." Honestly, before last season started, T8 with Jaedong looked like a top competitor on paper.

Despite the horrendous last season he had, Sea still has a 58.18% career winrate and at least 55% in all match-ups. That's about on par with JangBi IIRC - and he's won an OSL.
OT: I hope this helps Movie get out of his slump, he's a talented player that can go big. Team 8 still doesn't have a sponsor though .

I hope this helps Team8. And hope that will get Movie out of his slump

I'm not sure how much Movie was making at CJ was it was very likely less than that, although not significantly. Back in November, Hiya didn't get picked up by Team 8 because his Kespa ranking was not high enough. As for why Team 8 are picking up Movie instead of Hiya now... probably a variety of reasons. Hiya's been away from the scene for awhile and maybe he has no desire to join Team 8 while Movie very likely is willing to accept a lower salary and doesn't lack practice, unlike Hiya.

Uh... what? He specifically requested for a transfer to t8? Why? Could be a potentially good transfer if he regains his form, but I'm not sure about it.

Team 8 really needs more players and bring in new sponsors.

Edit: My new tagline for whenever Movie wins a game: "like a movie star".

Welcome to the team Movie! glad to have you!
Still remember that game vs Sea though -_-.

Fuck yeah! I sent him a message on facebook telling him that I would love it if he joined T8.
Please for gods sake let these guys play brood war. He could mean so much for this team since I feel that he is a really strong and smart protoss player.

i guess it works out both ways. T8 needed a toss and movie needed a fresh start.
hope he does well there....

Hopefully this changes the fortune of T8 and Movie. I will wait patiently to see what happens.
