No, he bring in a good name for esports in general. When mainstream journalists talk to him about competitive gaming, he also represents esports too.
The only reason the word "ESPORTS" hated here is becouse shitload braindead Sc2 fans throwing it around left and right, if it wouldn't be the case, people would be here just as supportive or neutral to it as everyone else.
Day[9] also talked about BW when discussing game design. It's a really enlightening talk.
Also, he was doing SC2 dailies even before SC2 was in beta by analyzing all those SC2 Battle Reports vods that Blizzard did with Browder commentating.
I would also want him to do more BW stuff on his dailies, but it is understandable if he can't since his analysis wouldn't be top notch after being away from the scene for so long. Heck, I think one of his Funday Mondays had SC2BW as a requirement.

There was also an unofficial BW talk near the end of one of the other episodes, but JP ended the show in the middle of it. It's going to be much harder to find, however, as it was kinda randomly led into.

TeamLiquid should do some sort of heritage league thing going on. Invite all the past top foreigners into it like Idra, Incontrol, Tyler, BratOK, Day9. Single elimination, I would love to see the trashtalking et all.
For me, personally, Starcraft has always been a campaign thing as far as playing wise. I never enjoyed the stress 1v1 realtime games puts on me. I have, though, thoroughly enjoyed Starcraft as an e-sport. I will follow the players onto SC2. I never had an issue with SC2, I knew the games would have their differences, I just never had many people that I cared to watch. The poor timing of the GSL prohibits me from watching much of it. Hopefully now there will be SC2 matches at better times for me with players that I know and enjoy to follow. =]
It's sad to see BW come to an end, but all things do.

But on the bright side, maybe with all the BW people switching to SC2 we will finally have the voices we need to force Blizzard to make SC2 an actual successor to SC1, instead of just a different game.
