Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it. | ||

MSL and MBC Heroes will be gone, only leaving SPL and OSL. Furthermore, there is no way for OGN, which is currently covering half of SPL, to cover all the games. This will lead to decreased revenues for already struggling BW scene. There has already been talks about Wemade disbanding, and this will only encourage other sponsors to pull out as well. Sad to see the scene that I followed dearly since elementary school has to come to this... Maybe it is time to leave e-sports all together and move onto other stuff. | ||

At least JD can get his golden badge We have to look at the bigger picture. This goes way beyond BW guys. It will not only effect the present, but the future as well. MBC can be a big factor in pushing gaming further, but if they do in fact change their focus from gaming to music. It will effect everyone in this community. Not just BW. It will effect SC2 in the long run as well, so I ask all of you to Tweet #mbcplus and urge them to continue broadcasting eSports. | ||

The least you can do is show some support for MBCGame. If that channel switches direction, there isn't much left TV wise in Korea. Start using your heads. Every gamer in general should be rallying around this to show support for MBCGame. Tweet #MBCplus. | ||

Well hopefully new tv channels will open for sc2, also, tv doesn't have the biggest fanbase anymore, people are being drawn closer and closer to the Internet... I don't think there is a question about exports growing, and closing of this channel won't end everything and make esports freeze in time. I wonder how much longer the BW's dying is going to sadden us... | ||
