Here is a full story:
it was a little dark templar, just exactly the same size like in a game! So he silently approached him, while he was playing and cut him a little, then Flash used his ready-build scan and just smashed him above with his huge fist of God.

It doesn't seeem like an injury from a game at all, so guess its just an accident.

He needs to take a break, once you get wrist problems they don't magically disappear by some shots or acupuncture, while the first relieves inflammation and the latter releases tension and gets the blood flowing, rest is still the essential part in healing overworked muscles.

In terms of his arm/wrists though, apparently it's troubling him again and he's been saying shit in interviews that's been pretty worrisome to the fans.
Apparently he's practicing so hard that his wrists are hurting etc.

Ok first off I've had a crack like that on my thumb for 5 or 6 years. Secondly, it isn't that big of a deal... All he has to do is put some lotion on it and bandage it up.

I don't think the picture is recent from what we've seen of him in live events/pictures, but the condition of his wrist is truly troubling. It'd be the saddest day if one of the best progamers of all time would have to retire close to the peak of his career because of an injury :X

A: My condition while preparing for the MSL isn't very good; I didn't have enough rest for weeks due to constant practice, causing my hands to feel weak. I practice a lot in order to play well, but during the actual match I played without energy and after the match my wrist really hurt. I feel that I should put in effort in whatever I am capable of doing this season. Even if my wrists are devoid of strength, I'll put in all my energies to perform well, please look forward to it.

▲ This season, in terms of physical condition I’m satisfied. Recently I increased my practice schedule by a LOT but seeing as how there haven’t been any noticeable side effects I guess I did a good job in keeping in good shape. My wrist does still hurt when I play but I’m regularly going to the acupuncturist and getting painkiller shots. Once the seasons over I’ll get proper treatment for it.

Thats because even as Sc2'ers we recognize the absolute ballerosity of BW. ON Topic. I have Eczema and my hands can get pretty crazy just from dry/cold weather. My skin will start to peel (On my finger tips -_-'), I get little bumps, cracks (that can bleed and get infected), all that great stuff D8. Lotion or some prescribed ointments usually do the trick. That looks like it could be a regular injury (just starting to scab) or even a skin condition like I have stated.

Day9 was just as big in and did just as much for the BW scene as he is and does now in SC2. Don't divide camps like that. He's passionate about Starcraft, not just SC2.

Edit: Guuuhhhh its not worth it. I'm not here to stir up shit between BW and Sc2 people (even though you seem to separate them into 2 camps, not me). I honestly don't differentiate between the two. I made a harmless comment then you made one that was unnecessary in a thread about FLASHES HANDS, not Sean or the difference between BW and Sc2. Sorry for being consistently brash.
