i think the current fit is better because bisu is a protoss dragon which is what charizard kind of looks like but isn't type wise and venesaur looks like a zerg type of unit somewhat
Whilst I agree with the way the counters work, JD being venusaur just doesn't sit well with me, he has to be charizard as everyone has mentioned. It just goes with JD so well

lol this thread is pure win hopefully the OP can summarize all the best/funniest bisu as charizard is really good. a dragon. ridiculously dominant for a time despite the crappy type. weird thought that flash is being represented by easily the worst of the three... although blastoise being a turtle is hilarious

check out the pokemon video where bulbasaur meets venasaur and learns solar beam. I think there's like 500 bulbasaurs and ivysaurs in that episode. very swarmy.

If we're talking about speedrunning, Squirtle is the best. He has no real weakness, easily beats Brock, can learn surf, and does the best against the Elite 4. Can also use ice beam which owns bones against grass/water/dragon.
Charmander is nearly as good since he destroys bug pokemon early on but this speed advantage is lost against Brock. He's also not as good against the Elite 4.
Bulbasaur sucks. Too many weaknesses, can't get vine whip fast enough to beat Brock quickly, not great against bug pokemon so he gets bogged down early on.

I'm almost 100% certain the speedrun on SDA just uses charmander so way to go you poke-noob. The speedrun on SDA plays the game the same way I did when I was a little kid... Level up only one pokemon and use every other one as a slave for the special TMs.

Kind of offtopic but yeah.
Any +Attack pokemon 4x sword dance on bosses(first pokemon they send out rarely does much damage), use potions if your pokemon gets too low in between sword dances(at your level no pokemon should be able too twoshot you pretty much).
i saw a red version speed run on youtube that used charmander
lol he used x accuracy at the start of every battle with the elite four and proceeded to use fissure on each pokemon lol. i had no idea it made it always hit, what a joke eh

i think JD should be blastoise since it does fit the zreg style abit more, then again u gota follow the weakness diagram, then again terran does turtle..

Maybe it does. Fantasy could probably beat oov right now, but oov in terms of legacy is more legendary, just like how Mewtwo>Mew stats-wise, but everyone in elementary school knew how to get Mewtwo and it was no big deal but everyone was talking about all the mythical ways to obtain a Mew.
Flash needed to be the turtle, and after thinking about it, I think that Bisu should be charzard as well. He was one of the 6 dragons, and he needs to have the ability to fly.

Actually Jaedong is Scyther. Scyther is a bad-ass looking Bug/Flying Pokemon with speed as his strength. Flying is very strong against Bugs (Zerg), so Scyther is the Bug vs Bug slayer. Bugs are weak against Fire and Ice though. Scyther vs Blastoise is a neutral fight, although Scyther have a better set of annoying/harrassing skill sets. But when Blastoise brings out Ice Beam or Blizzard, he usually wins.
Blastoise (Flash) owns Charizard (Bisu) pretty much always, except when he underrates him and is using Ice Beam or physical attacks in order to save his water spells.
Gloom is not fully developed, but he might surprise you sometimes. His strength is against Grass (Protoss) Pokemon.
Sea - Seadra
Best - Exeggutor The name fits him, since he have good macro, and grass is strong against water=Terran. This is also a Pokemon with many weaknesses, including taking 4x damage against Bugs (zerg).
Kal - Machoke
The name speaks for itself. Intimidating, and strong against Normal Pokemon, since he's fighting, but he haven't developed into Machamp yet and is lacking against the top tier.
That Jaedong versus Flash game wasn't even close! Flash never even got a CHANCE to attack Jaedong! Only time a unit of Flash's got into Jaedong's base was the scouting SCV. That's just incredible play by Jaedong. Kudos to him. The other games had at least a little back and forth to them.
Definitely agree with the FJB assessment, Flash is definitely the turtle, Bisu is the big dragon, and Jaedong hits you with the Stun Spore Spire build aka the Venusaur flower.
Yep I am smart ^^
Edit: saviOr could be Ma-choke too for that 3-0 get it~
If Flash is the OTHER turtle starter, the much better one, then Jaedong can rightly be Charizard.
Of course Venusaur is capable of tanking and sweeping, and as we know Jaedong is good at both macro games and hyper aggressive games. Charizard can only really set up with Swords Dance and Belly Drum.
Stylistically Jaedong should be Charizard, but I'm alright with him being Venusaur I guess.
Also it's Grass types that are known for annoying turtle like crazy strategies (Subseeding, anyone?), but a bulky water role also fits Flash too for the setup and sweep nature, or even just the acceptable offenses off the bat. Of course Blastoise is NOT a setup and sweep pokemon, or even really a bulky water. Empoleon on the other hand, is a good candidate for a setup sweep, as is Feraligatr (Agility and Swords/Dragon Dance respectively).

JD is Venusaur with permanent sun--one-turn Solarbeam and double speed!
Stork is pikachu, very beloved by everyone, potential to win against anyone with the right type of training despite his natural drawbacks. Of the four stork has maybe the best chance defeating flash (water vs electricity)

he's also good vs bisu which fits with electric>flying. And pikachu was the the closest thing to a 4th starter to finish TBLS= starter pokemon.

Stork vs Bisu: 14-9 (Current streak: 5 wins) Stork vs Flash: 10-8 (Current streak: 1 loss) Stork vs Jaedong: 12-11 (Current streak: 1 loss)
Stork only has a substantial winning rec vs Bisu, even vs Flash and Jaedong

Probably yes. Definitely the only one to do so with 5+ games against all of them anyway. Pretty sick record, too bad he can't get consistent enough, or stay motivated enough.
If standard special attacking Chlorophyll Venusaur can get one Growth off (or get ANY special attack boost baton passed to him) he will outspeed and OHKO every standard Charizard with Sludge Bomb and every standard Mewtwo with SolarBeam
FlaSh = Shuckle Walls the shit out of everything and turtles Bisu = Spiritomb w/ Shadow Sneak... Pretty much the only thing he can do. Jaedong = Gengar Pure Sweeper

There's a reason it's TBLS and not just TLS, after all.
The next closest I could find was... fOrGG??? 6-3 vs Bisu 4-6 vs Flash 4-1 vs Jaedong
And of course he's retired now and doesn't have the winning record against all 3 (and is 2-9 vs Stork).

Geeky enough for the males to relate too and not cute enough for males to resent. Winner enough for the girls to dig.
I was wondering where it went ^^ good work guys. Unfortunately, I was never all that into Pokemon to get most of the jokes, but I still feel Jaedong makes a pretty damm good Charazard (sup muta)
KTurtle Flash, hell yeah! (: For the first time I can find meaning within pokemons. Bisu's dragon also looks a little bit like a DT, which is his best match. And the JD's pokemon looks so pissed, as if he lost the first game in the series, turning berserk.

Define best.
Charizard owns everything once he has both flamethrower and earthquake (or even just flamethrower and slash and dig).
Blastoise owns the first part of the game, and continues to own up after you get ice beam to deal with grass types.
Venusaur is part poison... Still owns Brock and Misty though, digletts are available to destroy Surge with.
In Competitive Pokemon Venusaur is actually a beast, with Chlorophyll and Leaf Storm and all that good stuff. Of course Solar Power Charizard under the sun is awesome too. Blastoise still sucks compared to other water types though...

Well I was including not only the versatility and power of the moves but also their types and the weaknesses that went along with it. As a Pokemon that's both fire and flying, Charizard gets raped hard by a ridiculous variety of Pokemon.
