I am pretty new to using bittorrent but I already love it. I was thinking that maybe instead of hosting all of the files it would be more effective/cheaper for us to just run our own bittorrent server? I was very excited to see that they were tracking torrents at yaoyuan.com but they are currently down :/ I'm posting this as a subject instead of a PM to admin because I am wondering how other members of the site feel about this.
Bittorrents are faster (w/ enough people) and use much less server bandwidth. I don't know if we have the numbers required to do this effectively, but please discus :-)

Also this way maybe we could get away with releasing higher quality rips, since we wouldn't be taking up server bandwidth? Just throwing ideas out there :-)

BT would be good, but the current server is already very fast. You're right that it could be nice for higher quality ripos though.
