The highlight videos Konadara has posted recently (thanks for them btw) got me thinking. I've seen plenty of "pimpest play" style highlight reels for individual players, but never for a rivalry. Flash v Jaedong has certainly been the defining rivalry of 2010, and they've played an absurd number of games against each other (TLPD lists 43 games total, which doesn't include the ones from the 2010 WCG semi's). What I'm wondering is, would people be interested in collaborating to put together a highlight reel of this epic rivalry? Preferably, it should be roughly chronological, showing how both their play styles have evolved over time.
Now, i know some of you are thinking "why don't you just go do this yourself?" To this i have 3 replies.
1) I don't know shit about video editing. 2) Even if i did, my netbook probably isn't up to it. 3) Even if it was, i don't have the connections needed to get access to the HQ Vods this project would need.
Therefore, i can't do this alone. If there is enough interest, I'd be more than willing to help pick the moments that would be included, as well as provide assistance in other ways, but it's beyond my capability to do this by myself. Also, getting the community involved could possibly lead to future projects in a similar vein, showcasing other famous rivalries.
I don't know, that was kind of what i was looking for, but it didn't have the chronological element. I was hoping for a video that told the history of their rivalry, showing the matches in more or less chronological order and providing some context for them. Also, i can't help but think there's more than seven minutes of material in their rivalry worth showcasing.
(Don't get me wrong, the video was great, and including the power outage was epic, it just wasn't quite what i think it could have been).
In chronological order (I couldn't include their 1st match and the GOM TV matches), links to every match @YouTube annotations, . . . » 1st match : 「http://youtu.be/WV8H60DqcKs」 » 1 of their GOM TV Finals :「http://youtu.be/IHEmoffYZ5U」 If I get positive feedback I will make a 2nd part.
Dang. You really should have made your own thread. That was so well made. Leessang indeed.
And thanks for labeling every game too, as well as providing their head to head score. It's lame watching highlight videos when you can't tell where the clip was from.

I like how the blackout coincided with the end of the video. Though being serious, that blackout event was probably one of the most ridiculous and memorable moments in all of BW history. I'm still aghast whenever I think of it.
Personally I am not satisfied with the result . . . I recently created an account on TL to post this, so I cannot create an own thread in the first three days. If anybody thinks this deserves a new thread, go ahead and make one.
I will (probably) make more videos whenever I have time!

Loved it! End of part1 was totally awesome too! I remember watching that live... I WTFed so hard. Go Jaedong!
Nice videos, perfect entertainment for my lunch break at work =)
I find it pretty cool how the best rivalry yet is at a dead set tie 24:24. I don't think there will be another rivalry that can surpass the epicness of JvF.
Cool videos. But I think you should lower the music a bit and emphasize the commentators more. And as much as I love English commentators, Korean commentators just add so much more excitement to the mix.
If this was boxer vs Yellow, Jaedong would be down 48-0. This is way better. Still sad that kespa had to fix game 3 of the nate msl though. Was turning out to be really epic.
