I see some potential problems with this, the inside of the Oriental Pearl is TINY, theres no way it can hold a significant amount of people. ok so they hold the actual event in front of the tower in the open, but then one has to wonder what would happen if it starts pouring rain all of a sudden etc, and the urban layout in front of the tower isn't exactly ideal either, there are no long alleys where a giant screen can show the game to people standing way at the back etc [the surrounding area is mostly skyscrapers and elevated pedastrian walkways as far as I remember, so there's quite a bit of stuff to obstruct vision]. So unless they shutdown traffic at one of the main avenues leading towards the tower and use that as the site (in which case they would have to negotiate with the city itself), I don't see how the event can accommodate more than a couple thousand people at most. | ||
