[Interview] Ace vs STX

Last Interview for a while, until I can get a decent schedule worked out for the rest of the summer. (I'll probably do random stuff here and there as I find time though)

- You were successful in reaching a 100 wins.
▲ It was really hard getting a 100 wins (laugh). I was able to reach a 100 wins because the manager trusted me. I'm also thankful to my teammates who also trusted me.

- Were you burdened about the 100 wins?
▲ After the three game winning streak took me to 98 wins, it looked like I was able to reach 100 wins soon. I was really confident and because of that I became lazy and I didn't play very well. That built up and became a slump. I was really starving for a single win, and after I hit a six game losing streak, I wanted to give up. If I lost against Hwaseung, I might have really given up. I think I was able to reach a 100 wins today because I had won then.

- Your opponent for your 100th win was Kal.
▲ I actually expected to play against a Terran, so I was a bit shaken because a Terran showed up in the 1st set. I was confident on my Protoss match up so I was hoping it would be against Protoss. But because my opponent was Kal, a really strong player, I worried a little but I was confident since I have a winning record against him. There were a lot of fans that showed up to today's match, but strangely I didn't feel nervous at all. I don't think i Played badly either.

- You reached a 4 game winning streak, and a two digit win count right before you are released.
▲ When we were in an 18 game losing streak, I told Yellow "I'm ashamed to go out and play" (laugh). But a lot of things changed after the 18 game losing streak. If we were unable to end that losing streak, bad things may have happened but we were able to end it and play well. After a new manager came in, we were direction-less for a while but the manager organized the team well. We reached 10 wins and a 4 game winning streak, I'm really amused. This is the blessing of the Yellow god.

- Do you believe in the blessing of the Yellow god?
▲ Strangely, he was able to beat many players that were really good. I didn't think he would be able to beat Jaedong and Calm (laugh). But I really do think there is a blessing of the Yellow god.

- You won't be playing with Ace for much longer.
▲ The two games that are left have great significance. Reach and I was able to show ourselves winning quite a bit, but I want to see Casy winning. I hope he will come out with confidence and win. I hope to be released with us three showing good record to the very end.

- Will you be worried about anything about this team after your release?
▲ I actually think they''ll improve. If there are a lot of privates and private first classes, then there's no choice but to practice harder. But there is no precedent that can help them regarding their living style. But I think Much will be able to get them well. I think we'll become a stronger team. Much was saying "The people who come after ggaemo... Welcome to Hell" [T/N: Original "경모부터는 웰컴 투 헬"..] (laugh).

- Is there anything else you want to say?
▲ I want to thank the manager and the major general for giving me this opportunity. I also want to thank my mom who always watches my matches at home with great anticipation. I also want to thank my team.

- The Airfoce succeeded in a 4 game winning streak and a two digit win count.
▲Because the team's goal was 10 wins, I'm satisfied that we met our goal. I have high expectations about the winning streak that will continue in the future. I feel great. I hope to be more satisfied in the future.

- You didn't play amidst the three game winning streak.
▲ Because I have a strong size against Zerg, I thought that I had to win a game against teams like Hwaseung that has strong Zergs. But it was really nice to see my teammates' ecstatic play even though I didn't go out to play. I'm happy because we got to prove that everyone in our team are very skilled.

- Did you expect today's 4 game winning streak?
▲ I didn't wish for a 4 game winning streak, but after realizing how important every win was, we have successfully entered a winning streak. The single win right in front of was really important, so I'm really happy that we got to show off such a good result.

- What do you think is the secret to the Airforce's recent success?
▲ Our elders, who are on their least season, are playing even harder. They're trying really hard to create good memories with us. Because of that I think we have obtained goo results.

- How was today's game?
▲ If my bionic control was better, the game could have ended even earlier. My control wasn't as good as I had expected. So I got to show off my late game management abilities. I think the game went well (laugh).

- This is your 21st win this season.
▲ This is the most amount of wins I had since my debut. But it's also the season with the most amount of losses (laugh). I think these good experiences will become a fertilizer and return as an even better results.

- You'll soon get a lot of new recruits.
▲ In terms of the game, of course we're expecting quite a bit. But we have bigger expectations for our lifestyle. I'm the person who has been tangled around until it isn't possible to tangle anymore. Because of that I think I have even higher expectations for the new recruits (laugh).

- The next matchup is against WeMade.
▲ WeMade is a team with strong Terrans. But because our Protosses are very strong, I think we'll be able to win. I think we should start by being greedy about our 5th win.

- Is there anything else you want to say?
▲ There's so many people to thank.I can't mention them all, but I want to thank the major general and the military personnel. I'm also thankful to the fans that always cheer for the Airforce. And I congratulate Anytime from the bottom of my heart for his 100th win (laugh). As for Yellow, I hope he'll win more as we continue to live together.

Yellow: Today is a special day.


- You were able to get a very precious win today.
▲ I was able to lead my team to victory again today. I'm really happy I was able to finish it up. Today is a very special day. The fans came for the drop, and it was the day where the team reached a 4[T/N: 2^2] game winning streak and reached a 2 digit win count.

- The fans came with a really amazing present.
▲ Before that, I was in a slump. And I think the fans slumped with me. But now since I started winning again, I think the fans also started coming a lot. I think they gave me a lot of present because they wanted to let me know that they have continually watched me.

- You have conquered Calm, after defeating Jaedong.
▲ I'm pretty bewildered that I got a winning streak like this, and it's even more mysterious if I look back at the players i had beaten. Jaedong, Calm, they're both really good players, and I somehow managed to beat them. Because I have caught such a large fish, I'm even more confident now. I think I'll be able to climb up faster because of this.

- The Airforce hit a 4 game winning streak and a 2 digit win count.
▲ I'm really happy that we were able to accomplish this while I was there, because we weren't able to do it in the past. Personally, I'm more happy about the fact that I was able to do something that Boxer hyung was not able to do while he was there (laugh). Honestly though, when Boxer was in the Airforce and had a 50% win rate, and even did ceremonies, and I looked at him and thought "I think I could do at least that". But after I came on the Airforce, I was really Ashamed that I wasn't able to do that. But thankfully I've been able to do well at the end of the season so I'm a bit relieved.
