It's quite hard to visualize Jaedong being involved in the scam though, every time he loses a game he looks absolutely disappointed and pissed at himself. He kind of loves winning too much...

Let's just hope the list "under investigation" is just a check on everyone, since according to Korean sites the list is only a small part of the whole, so I'm assuming they are checking on most matches to make sure.

Why dont just play 3 years as a progamer and use the money you earn to study? Why do you need to be so fucking greedy and short-termish?
Use the force.

Maybe he's disgusted at what he's done? I doubt they felt good about throwing matches. I'd look worse if i threw a match than if i lost legitimately.

What are they going to study? Most of them barely have a chance to go to high school since they are practicing 8-12 hours a day even as a teenager.

Judging from those under suspicion, one has to think Flash was approached, and he outright refused. Good for him.

Short term thinkers -> oh shit money for gaming? -> pro - gamer

Long term thinkers -> eh waste of time -> something else

or a single cell.

Imagine the epic games we would get.

Okay punks, here's the rules. Champion doesn't get behind bars. All matches will be Bo3 until finals which will be a grueling Bo9. Who's up for this challenge?

Even though im really sad about the news the replies keeps making me laugh.
I really hope Starcraft won't end up like Warcraft 3 after that map rigging incident

All very interesting. Like I said in Rek's original thread, players involved need to be named and shamed. Otherwise the integrity of starcraft as an ESPORT is damaged irrevocably. It casts doubt over every single upset, every dramatic comeback, every slump. Just look at these threads, filled with speculation on every game with a somewhat unexpected result when we have very little to go on.

I was always amazed on the conditions the progamers put up with day in day out, makes me feel a bit stupid for not seeing this coming.

Wow Luxury throwing games must be like a slap to Flash's face. How long has Flash had to carry KT but fail cause Luxury couldn't perform?

And now we see how Hyuk and Fantasy owned Jaedong in the Proleague Grandfinals. If it were Bisu and Jaedong it'd be a hilarious game of who is better at throwing games. (Come to think of it, why is it whenever we see Bisu vs. Jaedong one player makes a dumb mistake like forgets tech or hold position?)

+ Show Spoiler +
Of course I'm semi-joking. Hopefully this isn't true, but damn the chances of that are looking slimmer and slimmer.

Basically the player who benefited from the rigging quit and lots of people ignored warcraft 3. Can't remember all the details as it was in a Biggest Esports Scandals-thread or something.

If these people had that kind of foresight (or even those goals), they would not have chosen to become progamers in the first place.

It is easy to take the moral high ground when one does not feel the pressure that these gamers do (short career life, extreme difficulty in reaching the top, lack of job prospects afterward). You'll find that most people's morals mean surprisingly little when actually put to the test. Don't be so quick to pass judgment.

They work oh so hard but receive oh so very little. In what other highly competitive field can you strive to be the absolute best, workin 70 hours a week for years, obtain the highest levels of competency, and be working as a parking garage attendant a few years after?

Out of interest who are you referring to here?

Yeah because we know that every progamer makes millions playing Starcraft.

Why oh why won't you practice 10 hours a day for 3 years and most likely don't make any real bank.

lol what a retarded post no offence

No one in particular. Just speaking the truth about what these guys are going to face. So in that respect everyone.
