Both sAviOr and NaDa have held both titles at the same time though. Nada won both titles in a season, though the formatting back then made the scheduling for MSL and OSL a month(?) apart. Well, depends on how you look at it. Here are the tournaments: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/leagues/51_KPGA_4th_Tourhttp://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/leagues/50_Panasonic_OSLLooking at the dates. He was playing the latter stages of the MSL at the same time he was playing the earlier stages of the OSL. The only thing that was a month apart were the finals, really. It's still very impressive, but it obviously wouldn't be as impressive as winning the OSL and MSL in the same season like Flash has a shot at. The individual finals will be played less than one week apart, which is a much tougher schedule. THOUGH, amusingly enough, Jaedong/Kal will only have 1 more day of unfettered practice time over Flash, since he plays the OSL finals the day after Kal vs Jaedong. It's only a slight practice advantage. The most difficult part, I think, is when you're in the early series/group stages of both tournaments and still have to play proleague because you're not that close to title contention -- this is where Jaedong faltered last season and, frankly, where every progamer not named Nada has faltered as well. Once you get to this stage it's just playing 2 Bo5s a week apart while taking a small break from PL after fulfilling his duties which, honestly? Doesn't seem that bad for Flash. I'm just rambling but I think Flash's workload isn't so bad right now and he has a real shot at this. Totally excited. But hell, I'll just be content with an OSL title. :3 Flash just got damn lucky his MSL and OSL matches were so far apart. Jaedong had to play against Calm on one day and against fantasy the next. Wow thanks for repeating me when I said Flash has a more lenient schedule. The difference is you come off as really angry and decide to vilify Flash. =\ man just last season I could bring it upon myself to say Jaedong was amazing --the best, even-- and still be a fan of Flash. You don't have to diss Flash's accomplishments by calling him lucky. #1 in proleague, MSL and OSL isn't just being lucky. edit -- actually Flash isn't #1 in MSL. before the semifinals he was 7-1 compared to Jaedong's 7-0. He had significantly harder competition but it's not fair to take away that Jaedong still hasn't dropped a game in MSL. Yeah, sorry for the angry tone in the post. I was just upset when you said "early series/group stages of both tournaments and still have to play proleague because you're not that close to title contention -- this is where Jaedong faltered last season" Jaedong didnt falter in the early stages of the tournament... Flash has been playing incredible this season and he fully deserves two final appearances, its just... Jaedong deserved it too.
Getting pushed to a game 5 in a sloppy series vs Canata isn't what I'd call Jaedong esque. That plus huge PL obligations -- and FA, I suppose -- all got to him.

I corrected myself! It's such a big, econ heavy map you just automatically associate it with being 4P and thus apply it to 4player rush/econ strats.
CURSE YOU ODD EYE
My point that Flash read Kwanro perfectly stands, though -- 14cc or bunker rush were both the counter builds to Kwanro's 12hatch there, and in doing so Flash's sense was impeccable. :o

It's a two player map, but the map isn't symmetrical down the middle. It's diagonally symmetric, which would force you to build buildings side by side instead of top to bottom. iirc, it wouldn't even be marine proof, never mind lings.
As Kwanro vs Light showed, it's easy for a zerg to just run in lings and win the game.

WOW if Jaedong practiced with him no wonder he won.
It makes sense too, because of course Jaedong wants to see more of Flash play.

Yea and too bad kal has no good zergs to practice with...oh wait. I dont disagree with jaedong being the favorite but to say kal has no chance is foolish, that guy sneaks dts in bases alot so theres always a chance.

Jaedong vs Flash finals are coming! YES

I'm a little surprised about Jaedong helping Flash practice for the match. Either Jaedong is a really nice guy, is good friends with Flash, or has alterior motives. Helping someone practice that eliminate you from the OSL, and will face in the finals if both of you win your ro4 matches seems odd. He's either nice or wanted some material to study if he should face him in the MSL finals. Maybe a bit of both.

They're friends and JD is nice

I hope the finals is three games of Jaedong proxy hatching Flash's 14cc.

I think it's more than that though, JD already keeps on saying that his MSL was so easy so far (which it was) and I do think that he always wants to play the best player, he always says that during group selection, too (unlike bisu for example).
I mean JD vs Kwanro would be an automatic win for him, Jaedong doesnt have undefeatable JvZ anymore but against Kwanro it would be an easy win. He wants a challenge, he wants to play the best. And that's exactly whats gonna happen if he beats kal

What? Flash has a pl game, the osl finals and the msl finals and JD has one semis and he's the one with awsome sportsmanship? You're joking right?

sloppy game!?!?!? wtf? is it just because it actually went to a game 5 that its sloppy? the only sloppy game in this series was game 5 where canata lost very suddenly. just because jaedong had a hard time doesnt mean he played bad, it can also mean canata played really well.

No, everyone recognized that Jaedong wasn't playing near up to his standard but were very impressed that he seemed to somehow practice the perfect amount to skate by in the MSL without sacrificing success elsewhere. For Jaedong, that was one of the sloppiest series he's ever won or lost.

thanks kona!
- You went for a bunker rush in the second and third set.. ▲ I initially planned for three consecutive bunker rushes in the first three sets. I planned to do bunker rushes in the second and third set from a long time ago. I might have gone for a bunker rush in the first set if our positions were switched. My coach said that it would be extremely funny if I went for three bunker rushes in a row. SO IT WAS THE COACH THAT RUINED THE BO5
