Nice to see Hery and Zergbong as coaches now. Who's gonna be the new KT captain? I think the next most senior player is probably 815.

Though Jaedong should be in the top 3 in terms of pay I don't think it's fair to say only receiving 200M Won is terrible, I mean that's still $160k a year and if I read correctly it sounds like that is roughly what he would've been receiving with salary+bonuses. edit: Btw I would think Boxer/Bisu/Jaedong also have opportunities to make decent side money though endorsement and commercial type deals right?

Whenever I watch with a Korean I ask what they're saying and it's never been anything in-depth. Usually they're just making funny jokes. I always expect to hear some great insight and it's around 0/100 now. I've never heard it. Basically when I listen to the main 3 OGN casters for OSL, I usually face-palm a lot (except for kim-carry). Kingdom and TheMarine (who was my favorite OGN commentator) were extremely good because of their ability to analyze what the players are thinking. They pick out small details the players are doing and explain why they're doing it, what they're trying to achieve and what kind of play they are going for. I'll look up an example.

Jaedong cannot just "rest for 5 months" and then return back immediately. Even if he could, he would have to go through draft again, then wait another month for proleague roster to refresh etc etc. Do OSL and MSL allow amatures to participate in their offline preliminaries? If so Jaedong can just continue his dominates as an amature, and live off the prize money alone. Just no proleague appearances.

Yea, I'm not trying to force the issue here, it's just I always feel extremely jealous when I hear things like this. Then I watched around 100 games always getting them translated and I saw nothing.

These progamers should be declared independents or something, it's their hard work and dedication that has gotten them the opportunity to be progamers and the fact that their parents have the final say is unfair and regrettable. I find it hard to call trying to get their children a fair deal "fucking things up". The advantage that this laughable FA system gives to the teams over the players is frankly unacceptable, and its good that SOMEONE is actually doing something against it. The whole reason Jaedong turned down Oz was because he WASN'T receiving 200M KRW. IIRC, that's the original number that Jaedong's parents deemed acceptable, and the offer that Hwaseung came out with was 140M KRW. No. Unsigned semi-pros USED to be allowed to participate in individual leagues, but Kespa changed that at some point.

What kind of an age is 20 before you can decide your own contracts? Seems crazy.
