To anyone throwing around words like traitor or sellout: Shut the fuck up.

This is a benchmark moment for non-korean players in the Starcraft world. The first time a major non-Korean player is switching from one big team to another 'big' team for big money. The very fact that this competition exists between major sponsored teams contesting to sign the top players is evidence of just how amazing the SC2 world will get.

It just shows that the raw marketing value of a player is there. How do you expect non-Korean players to compete at a Korean level unless they can focus on SC2 alone? They can't unless they have financial comfort. Now that comfort is coming in. Also, I don't know the specifics but I'd be willing to bet over half of his salary will be going towards paying for his travel expenses to all the tournaments: Which means more HuK for you guys to watch.

No one is to blame here. Not EG for having too much money, not TL for not having enough money (yet), and certainly not HuK. This is simply the way the world works.

As far as HuK is concerned: HuK is the most dedicated non-Korean player I have ever seen...in SC1 or SC2. And while his view of the world and how it works is a little too romantic for my tastes, the man has dedication. And while it was annoying at the time how he consistently rejected my offers to take him out in Seoul, I have crazy respect for it now. He worked hard to get where he is and he deserves every dime he can possibly get.

Not that anything I just wrote matters, because if you just read it either a. you already knew all this or b. you're a dumb fucken fan boy(girl).

Good luck to HuK in the future. And more importantly good luck to EG because only having two talented players on your team isn't going to win you any super bowl rings.

P.S. TLO is a pimp.

EG hasn't shown a sustainable way of player development the way oGs-TL have. No, having one player of each race in a Korean house is not going to cut it. Until they show dedication to coaching and player development, I have to write this move as a negative one for Huk's development as a player.

Idra was Code S without any team house in korea? Do you think Huk was actually having full in depth conversations with such a language barrier in the ogs house? Huk will still have the same practice partners he just wont be sharing a bathroom with them. If anything the environment will be better for huk, he will feel a lot more comfortable with his living situation.

...Even saw the lights of the new year blimp, and it read "TLO's a pimp"..

Now take the rest of the song in the same context, just a day in TLO's thug life.

But on a side note, yeah I agree with you, there is way too much silly blind EG hate just because they "stole" HuK.

No one is suggesting that TL had zero to do with HuK's growth as a player. We are suggesting that TL isn't the ONLY reason he is as good as he is now. They get credit for helping him grow, not ALL the credit for him as a player. There is a difference.

Also, remember HuK isn't leaving anyone out to dry like he would be if he left a soccer team. Starcraft is an individual sport. Individuals win and lose the game.
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

My point is that EG's training environment for HuK will not nearly be as good as oGs-TL's was, and therefore this move was a poor choice by him with regard to his development as a player. If he prioritizes cash over that, more power to him, but that isn't what is being discussed.

Typical post... this was easier to predict than someone calling him a traitor, i feel we have a right to be sad and dissapointed and from what i've seen so far that's mostly all of the negativity; huk will most likely be happy in his new team and life will go on
