Start the year upbeat (weekly electronica mix 22)

Happy first Thursday of 2011 TLsters!

Hope the new year is treating you well so far. I've been back to work since Monday... bleh. I didn't even get to have that great of a holiday break. I was off work but got calls and emails I had to deal with every day, it rained like crazy and my internet was down almost the whole time so I didn't get to play Starcraft. At least I could find a weak open wireless signal and get my TL fix. Fucking Verizon dsl... called them last week of December, they told me a tech couldn't come until January 20th. So guess who is getting cable internet installed tomorrow!

But enough of that negative stuff. New year, positive attitude time! My first mix of the year is upbeat and fun, full of good mood maximizing music. Perfect for heading back to the gym, getting work done ahead of time, walking past that candy bowl in accounting without reaching in or handling that ladder cheese rage free.

I've resolved to bring you 51 more of these this year! Let me know what you think of this one.

Rad. I haven't seen these mixes yet but I definitely recognize some of these artists and am excited to check them out. Thanks for putting the time together to post these guys. I'll probably start rewinding down the list after I check out the first. : )

God, I love this. I've heard stuff like it before, but never been able to get my hands on any more. Perfect music for so many situations, thankyou a ton! I'll be watching out for more of these from you, :D

Thanks yo. If you (or anyone else) does end up listening through my mixes in reverse chronological order I'd love to hear any thoughts or observations you might have in terms of how they've changed and if there is anything I'm not doing as well now as I was before. The way I approach these has changed quite a bit since I started, I wonder if listening to them in reverse order the first time through makes anything obvious that may not be otherwise.

Yep yep! I walk down to the beach every new year's day. It is very refreshing (good for hangover) and there's hardly anyone around (good for thinking). It makes for some quality retrospection to be in the same place with the same sights, smells and sounds year after year on the same day. This pic is from last year's walk.
