Happy Thursday, TL! Time for another mix. I set out this week to make a mix of spoken word tracks over idm and downtempo beats. I had a vision of it just working out super awesome but it turned out to be way harder to make sound good that I anticipated. It is going to be more of a long term project, pushing me to learn how to produce tracks rather than just mix them together. Look for it someday!

This mix ended up being made out of the tracks I had collected to support the spoken word project. I had a fair idea how to fit them together going in but I managed to discover some truly beautiful transitions between these songs. Every week I hope to make my best mix yet and I've created something I love this time. Normally after I finish a mix I'm pretty sick of the tracks and am a little happy to move on to something new. This week, however, I've been listening to this mix every day since I completed it. I listened last night laying in the dark with my headphones on and I had a hard time going to sleep after because I was so pumped. I feel like I am getting better at this and I'm really happy and proud to share this one with you guys.
