As some of you may have noticed (or not :D), I don't do in eSports so more anylonger lately. I miss all those events and meeting people and stuff like that but that's life. Always enjoyed doing all those video interviews and now I got myself a HD camera and so some filming. Produced so far 2 videos and uploaded them on Vimeo.
The first one is my gf solving Rubik's Cube and the second one is very new:
Title: Hold On
Filmed in Copenhagen, Denmark just outside my flat in Nyhavn during a Sunday afternoon where the sky could not decide if it should spend sunshine or cover itself with clouds.
Nyhavn is a famous colorful place, which is during sunny days not only a magnet for tourists, but also for locals to sit down by the water and to hold on for a minute - its atmosphere is unique.
You can watch that here http://www.vimeo.com/5702021
Let me know what you think about it
P.S.: Give us SC2, I am bored!!

Nice video, it just makes me miss Europe. I used to live there but am in USA now and have been for the past 10 or so years. Every other year we go back to all the countries we used to live in to visit family and friends, cant wait to go again. :D:D:D

Pretty cool video and good music choice, tho blurring got boring as video progressed
|
Did you deliberately make the video looks blurry from the sides so we would focus on the center?
From what distance were you filming, for example the guy eating pizza, that they weren't able to see you?
|
I liked the colors and the clarity in the video. What equipment do you use?
|
Thanks for all your kind words guys!
I agree that it is maybe too much of the blurry over time. Mainly I did it to make the viewer focus on what I want him to focus on.
The pizza guy is filmed from quite some distance but other things are filmed from more close. Actually some people discovered me but all of them just smiled to me and some even waved, though I preferred to cut that out.
Ye, it is really impressive what those small cam corders can do, though not are all as good as the Canon one I used as this one has some really clear and sharp picture.
The equipment I used is
Filmed with Canon HV30 Edited in Final Cut Color grading with Bullet Looks
Wanna get some lenses soon
