Alright, so shortly after my last report, I got into D+ with little trouble, and pushed upward to 2600 where I am now pretty quickly due to my recent ZvP windfall. Then I took a break for a week or so, which brings me to now.
My computer broke. When I try to startup, instead of the blue screen where you log in, I get a little window that says "system error: lsass.exe file name not found" or something like that. ...sigh. The real loss is my music, and to a lesser extent my porn. I have a backup of the music, but it's a few months old.
Public Service Announcement: BACK UP YOUR SHIT NOW.
I'm writing this on my laptop, which has Starcraft, but it's unplayable on a laptop once you've played it on a real computer. So I was gonna play some more games before writing this, as I like to have ~30 games per report, so there's some stuff to reflect on, but not so much stuff that I don't learn from the games I played. However, since I don't know when my computer's gonna be fixed, I figured I'd get this out of the way before I forget about the most recent games, seeing as how I can't watch the replays.
1v1 analysis:
Zerg(24 games) ( 7)ZvZ: 3- 4 42.8% ( 7)ZvP: 5- 2 71.4% (10)ZvT: 3- 7 30.0%
11-13 45.8%
This Season: Zerg(114 games) (29)ZvZ: 9-27 25.0% (37)ZvP: 13-31 29.5% (24)ZvT: 18-16 52.9%
40-74 35.0%
ZvZ: Did much better ZvZ this time around, due to me getting "back to basics" as I mentioned was my problem before. The only games I lost were against players who seemed WAY better than me. Like kimguhyun, 340 APM Zerg made me feel like I was playing against a progamer. I'm kinda sad to lose those replays actually.
ZvP: Ok, so I took some advice from earlier and tried out some 9pool speed openings, and it seems like ridiculous. I won 2 games just running my lings to his base and taking out his cannons before they finished. I wonder how many times I could have won the game like that in the past. See, it was only recently with this 9pool speed opening where I would make sure to send my lings immediately to my opponent's base, ignoring his probe scout. Now I see how big of a fundamental mistake that was. Guess that's a good example of how it's easy to miss something big. I also had a chance to play against a 2gate and a 1gate tech build when I opened 9pool speed, which were a couple concerns I had, and those went pretty well. Every time I play against 1gate tech I'm amazed at how bad it is, or rather how poorly D/D+ protosses play it. Anyway, the 9pool speed is all nice and cool, but since I have no plans of doing any 2hatch muta or hydra breaks or ling all-ins, I'm probably gonna go back to 9pool. But at least I've got that additional experience. And it also helps confidence-wise to win a few games against protoss for once instead of the usual 9 minutes of macro into getting steamrolled by zeals and psi storms.
ZvT: Shitty record compared to usual for ZvT this time. I blame my inability to play well on Colosseum, combined with the fact that everybody loves that map for some reason. It doesn't suit my style very well, and I don't like how easily non-zergs can get a 3rd going.
Questions:
1. Do you know how to fix my computer? 2. Is Jaedong gonna take a break or is he gonna burn out? 3. Why can't Flash make it in individual leagues?
As always, comments and constructive criticism welcome.

I fear Jaedong will eventually burn out
And I'm very frustrated with Flash, it seems to me like he has all the skill and intelligence he'd need, but he just can't get his shit together
dunno about #1

This may be a little difficult to do, as I don't know how proficient you are with computers. But you can POSSIBLY recover your stuff. Now with your laptop you want to obtain "hirens boot cd" any version about 9.7 will work. Now once you get it, burn that .iso image to a cd. You can do this by using imgburn ( this is freeware just google it). Now after this is done. Turn on your computer and look for an option to access your boot menu, usually del. f10. f2 , f12. Click those keys to access the boot order. now select cd are the first boot disk just be sure that harddrive isn't first. now input the burnt hirens cd into your cd/dvd drive and click save and exit. now you will restart and hopefully if everything was done right youll boot from the cd. once you boot from the cd, you will have several options.
you want to choose, mini xp or mico xp. its been a while so i can't remember exactly.
let it run, it will boot into xp, once that if fully loaded, youll have a windows like screen. once you have that, pull all your shit out to your back up drive. i recommend pull little chucks at a time and don't do too many parrell pulls.
good luck. hope you get your replays back

Maybe google the error for a fix? I had a friend who had to use another PC and burn like 5 DVDs to fix it, but all his stuff was saved.
Or if you have another PC in your place you could try putting the HDD in there and copying your stuff, hoping it's not corrupted. I guess in theory that would work..

If theres a system file on the hard drive that can't be found, what makes you think that putting the same hard drive in a different PC would help?

Don't get used to this at all :/
Once you make it past D+ (actually I'm surprised the D+ tosses you're playing aren't better), any toss who scouts a morphing gas/pool with pool at a fast timing (check pool HP, drone count and when ovie pops), will immediately cannon up and pull probes once he sees your lings hatch.
Also, two gate builds pretty much counter a 9 pool speed opening - you're going to be so behind economically, and if he puts any pressure on you, you don't have the extra larvae from the other hat to help you defend.
Why don't you play the 12 hat build? Just curious.

Jaedongs going to win both and never burn out.

ebacho, if you put the harddrive into an external drive windows will detect it as a removable drive and you can pull stuff off of it.
if the laptop failed thats usually the easiest way to recover things, just pop off the cover take out the harddrive plug it into a desktop via usb or esata. as most laptops made in the last 4 years use sata connections.
but in this case, i think his desktop died, and its much more difficult to recover and a laptop doesn't have extra connections.

I play on laptop, it takes some getting used to but it's kind of nice because I can play anywhere as long as I bring my mouse. Hitting f-keys is a bitch though and when I started, I hit the capslock instead of the shift a lot. You like playng against 1gate? Odd, I hate it immensely, my timing always goes to hell and I hate defending ovies with hydras 1) Nope sorry 2) I sincerely hope not but it's seems inevitable at the rate he's going 3) I blame KT coach's, he has all the practice partners he could ever need right in the team house and he's got the talent, he's got to be being fed some terrible advice

Yeah it just seemed odd that they couldn't handle a standard 9pool ling timing like that. Just luck I guess.
I only ran into 2gate and 1gate tech once each, but both times I cancelled ling speed when I scouted it to get a faster hatch@nat, then either researched it later or used the 100 gas to tech to lair depending on what the toss did.
I don't 12hatch very often because it seems like forcing cannons first and denying scout earlier is a good trade. I'm not unwilling to 12hatch though.
edit: and what's with 1 star? I guess I must have pissed somebody off.

for your computer, you might try loading up some live-cd linux to recover your files. Try knoppix.

It's not that 1gate is a terrible build, it's just that I rarely ever see it done properly. It doesn't seem like 1 gas protoss could compete with 2 gas zerg, especially if zerg gets mutas. So it becomes a problem of how to expo quickly, but the only way to have enough map control to expo as toss seems to be if you go sair-dt, but that takes so long to tech to that you don't have much time to prepare for mutas. At that point, you may as well have just gone FE instead. The other option is some type of timing attack, and that could work I guess, if the zerg fails to scout it, but c'mon, we have overlords and lings, 2 of the best scouting units in the game. I dunno. I'm sure it's doable, It just hasn't been done yet against me.

Dont go 9 pool w\o speed. Do 9 pool speed instead. Much better!!!
Cuz flash has lost his über skilz. He is good but just not that good anymore.

If u have another drive you can reinstall windows on that drive and turn ur old drive into the slave/secondary and retrieve files.
