Well, for iccup tosses you might as well subtract a rank. So C toss = D player. Pretty sure you can get to C- in a day just with DTs and cannon rushes and 2 gate lots.

Im protoss and i've never cheesed a game in my life on my main account. I got to B- with just playing straight up. Also cheesing to rank up means you miss all those games that could've been practice and you end up getting owned later on.

I remember when i made it to D+ for the first time last season. The points on that account was 2002 and I got scared that if i kept playing on that account for practice i would lose D+ status. So i played on my other account and left the D+ account be

i lost the stupidest fucking game today (OF COURSE AGAINST PROTOSS)
he went 1 gate no range into reaver. I FD all the way into his main leaving nothing but the reaver.. by the time he reaches my base I have pretty much a full turret ring as well as my nat completely up. He kills about 2 supply depots and 3 SCVs with his reaver, before I eventually kill his shuttle containing 2 reavers. I then add 4 facts to finish the job when he has teched to DTs. I actually had scan at this point, but I just had scanned his base to see carrier tech also incoming. He is also trying to expand to the min only and the island (map is PYTH, cross positions). I fuck up bad with my scans and end up getting delayed a ton, but I end up taking out both is nat and his 4th base, while taking my 3rd. I begin to pump goliaths like mad when i realize he has also taken 3 oclock, and since I suck balls against carriers he starts raping my push with a now alarming amount of carriers. eventually He just builds massive amounts of cannons until he has like 15 carriers and runs me over. OMFG IT WAS SO STUPID HE WAS SO BAD ITS NOT FAIRRRR

I actually find zerg to be the easiest race at the very low levels, just because of how their builds work. While the zerg only has to learn how to execute buildorders, the terran has to learn how to see, react, and execute the proper counter. The zerg can pretty much just pick a build at random. And because of this the terran has to learn alot of different timings, how to defend, when, with what, and where? Good building placement is also ridiculously important. Exposing a science facility to mutalisks can usually mean death right there, which is another thing the zerg doesn't have to bother with. The same concept applies to PvZ, and to some extent PvT where the terran has to strike before Protoss' econ kicks in, or else GG. So at the very lowest of levels, zerg is easier than protoss, protoss is easier than terran. I also think it's easier for a weaker protoss player to beat a stronger terran (strengths in relation to each other), because of the more variations that a toss player has with his builds, which skews the timings. Same thing for weaker zerg against protoss. Thoughts?

A terran stole my gas(I play zerg). First I lol'd. Then I adapted by just taking the gas at my nat instead.

The point system on ICCUP is actually very irritating, because it promotes playing lots of games. Im C- in 2v2 for example with thrash stats of 40-50 for example. It doesnt mean that I cant play the game, but I dont like the idea that anyone can get 2000pts if he has just a 25% winning ratio and plays enough games. I would really prefer the old neo-gamei system - you lose the same ammount of points that you can win.
Of course this has big disadvantages as people start to dodge a lot, but this is actually a real term of proving skill. At this moment you can get C+ with like 50-80 stats which is equal to a 30% win rate...
