But see that won't quite work because over 90% of TL does not know who he is (think about all the inactives, and people who has 1 post) and besides we don't really know how many people are registered on TL, unless a mod can give us some information on that.
But consider this though
VioleTAK has 12,817 subscribers
Combat has 4,610 Subscribers
Think about the content and quality of VioleTAK's video, see how many subscribers he have, Regardless of the quality of Combat's videos, he has 1/3 of VioleTAK's subscription number. You cannot argue that he's not successful at building a fan base.

You cannot argue that he's not successful at building a fan base.
On the first sight it looks like an accurate comparison, but I don't really feel like that's the case, unless we stretch the definition of fanbase to be looking at his vids occasionally and finding it interesting. The degree of intensity of the two groups probably doesn't really compare, we are really more concerned with the amount of people who has sufficient trust in Combat to take his words as they are.

Active : 762 last 15 minutes. That is the last 15 minutes. Just picture per day viewers looking at that banner etc etc 4k subscribers is nothing compared to the pwning size of TL.
But don't get much further on this. I just commented on that to point out how he is also highly unpopular and harmful. But harmful is the keyword. Unpopular is just a multiplier and isn't as important alone. How many flies eat shit and love it again?

I agree with evan in that he does a fine job building a fan base, and does us all a favor by getting more people into our "scene", whether it be ums/$$ players or non-SC players.
I also don't really care about the "harmful" factor, because that is pretty much crap. There is enough material our there for people to judge for themselves. People listened to my RWAs and I barely knew what I was talking about. If it entertains them, go for it. There are so many commentators and progames that he is not the lone voice in the wilderness. Being able to listen to anyone else talk BW gives you a different perspective on things. That is why we have a strat forum.
Where I lose interest is the methods of how he does it. I don't like that he attracts people to the scene but has to use the behavior we revile to do it. It is not good for any game, or sport, to have a cheater promoting it. Barry Bonds will never be the face of baseball and Ben Johnson will never be a respected track coach.
If Combat just cut the bullshit out of his repertoire, he would realize people don't care nearly as much about his rank as he does. The cost of beinging able to say "I'm B" seems to have cost im his credibility, when in fact just being his natural level and producing the same videos would have earned him the same results.
So Combat, if you read this, be yourself. Don't abuse the system, don't abuse the community, because when you do your value loses work, even to yourself.

Like many of my friends did and as many others reported on the hundreds of other Combat threads.
I would have zero problem with him if he would make it very clear in each one of his vods that he isn't the best source for learning, and if you wish to improve yourself refer to x, y and z. As opposed to advertising all around that he is the best. Well that and of course, if he wasn't dishonest ><
